Sorry to hear Sam Frost will miss the rest of the year through a stress fracture.  Would have like him to have had the opportunity to play more finals.

Go Port

Port called a crisis meeting this afternoon, they ain't winning f all this year or any years to come.

Mentally scared as a group.

GWS and Hawks

Footy is mostly disappointing, so Port and Bris to win and be cannon fodder for Cats n Swans. Then Cats to beat Sydney by 5 goals. Boooo

Cats v Swans GF would be the worst

Did ed richards not get suspended for that hit? I don't think he did.

Seriously he was lucky he didn't break a jaw. That could have been a sickening hit. You can't just hit someone like that. It's a strike.

Anyway just hope gws and hawks win this week

I'm so sick of hearing about Hawthorn and Hokball, I find myself in the unfamiliar position of hoping that Port Adelaide kick their smug brown and gold backsides this week.

I’m hoping Port wins just to see what scarf Albo wears for the Prelim Finals

Will be supporting Giants with Jesse and Toby against the Lions.

You have my vote Jack.

Hawthorn are in excellent form & will likely beat Port.

That said any Melbourne supporter who says they’re happy to see Hawthorn playing finals should be locked in a cell for a week & made to watch the ‘87 prelim on repeat

A noteworthy fact for those who think the Demons are finished as a footy team because they missed out on the finals this year with 11 wins.

Of the four teams playing in semi final weekend

• we defeated HokBall earlier this year 93 - 39 before it even existed as a thing;

• we defeated Port Adelaide in Adelaide during Gather Round and lost to them by a mere 2 points late in the season;

• we lost to the Giants by only 2 points at the MCG in the latter part of the season; and

• we lost to the Lions by 5 points in Brizvegas after they received a controversial late free kick that resulted in a miracle goal from the boundary.

Those three narrow defeats were all in the last half of the season when the team was wounded. Add CP5 to the lineup and who knows? We might have made the finals.

Let’s also not forget that we were the first to beat the Cats, now in a preliminary final and we also lost to another finalist, Carlton, by a point in a game that could have gone either way.

Still, I have to defer to that brilliant football strategist “No Diamond Left Joe” and that man who will never win a Pulitzer Prize for journalism who tell me the coach is no good.

A very interesting scenario in betting odds tonight.

Despite finishing second on the ladder, well above the Hawks and playing at home with a loud supporter base, Port Adelaide are not favorites to win on any betting site.

And despite the Power's victory run in the last 6 home and away games, the Hawks seem very strong contenders with all the bookies.

Will they bow out in straight sets like us?

How much noise will there be.

Losing 2 at home where the advantage is not the same at our Mcg is bigger news.

In normal circumstances, it would be hard to resist backing Port but the Hawks ability to rapidly gain momentum and boot bags of five will most likely see them through.

Plus I hate the Power as much as Hawthorn but I hate Port's toothless supporters even more.

😀

Enjoy the game.

Ps. Sad that we smashed the Hawks earlier in the season and accounted for the Power at Adelaide Oval.

Such a hard case to find a team to support in these finals.

Probably the Johnny come lately in  GWS.

Go Giants.
