I'm glad that this is going on.  Great to get the senior players in a room for a truth session, get it out there deal with it and commit to getting better.  These are the blokes that set the standards, the club and coaches can drive culture and standards but essentially it is the players that do this, they are the drivers if they don't buy in and drive it your club falls apart.

Accept responsibility for the season, it is disappointing, how they respond in 2025 is the real test.

I don’t understand why people go down this narrative and it’s a very common response so don’t mean to single you out (sorry). But what part of what was reported has been incorrect? It seems people apply strawman logic to media reports because they don’t like what they hear.

The Jack Viney situation has been the same. Just because Jack has extended and if Trac ends up staying doesn’t make what was reported incorrect.

It highlights how people don’t understand how media and the footy industry work.

And sometimes the media reports are flimsy and pathetic - you don't need to make a straw man out of them. But in most cases these feeble stories are immediately addressed, dismissed or just laughed off. That hasn't happened here. Unless this is a case of "he's so wrong that responding would give the rumour unwarranted credit", everything points to the central claim from Morris - that Petracca is so unhappy he wants to leave - being true.

What can they do beyond re-educate the individuals involved? I contrast this with the Clayton Oliver situation where the ultimate respect was paid to his mental health and stability by the AFL media.

I’m not going to reveal my sources, so don’t ask, but Christian did a tour of the Yarraville-Seddon Eagles facilities last week. He was very impressed by what he saw, including access to the Westgate, and public transport options on both the Werribee and Williamstown lines.

His reservations are parking around Anderson street, and the lack of blockbuster movies showing at The Sun cinema. He does however rate the cinemas Choc Tops.

I'm not sure if Caro or anyone else for that matter, understand the complexities around mental health - perhaps Tracc hadn't felt comfortable opening up about the seriousness about his issues and perhaps had asked for sensitivity around this. It's very likely that Max and the FD didn't feel comfortable passing on that information. The impression the players may have got was that he was having fun in Noosa while they were struggling on the field, particularly at Casey. Things can get misinterpreted, despite good communication. 

The lack of nuance in footy journalism is astounding sometimes.
