People really need to chill the [censored] down.

Thanks for the rebuke. This coming from someone who is praying for Jack Crisp to get injured in order not to break a record. Doesn't get much lower than that. If someone posted the same hoping a Melbourne player sustain an  injury you'd be the first to be outraged. Disgusting.

Stuie?

You make some fair points. My argument is though that he earlier today asked us all not post 'unsubstantiated rumours' etc. This is 35 pages of them. Not one scrap of evidence that any of this is factual. Also, to refer to 9 News as 'actual news' is laughable. It stopped being news years ago. Nothing but editorialising no more so than in sports stories.

Do you know how a Newsroom works, have you ever worked in a Newsroom??

Tracc was “quoted” in the original story by Morris and this quote hasn’t been refuted by Tracc or his management. This means that there is some truth to it. He is [censored] off at certain elements of the Club, and either he or his management have put it out there, to stir the pot.
And that is exactly what it has done, nothing more or nothing less.
There is no way, even Tom Morris would put out a straight out lie. Legally he would be in Hot Water

NFI me thinks here.

I don't know but it was not impactful at all and quickly forgotten

You have to remember that the club was in real disarray before PJ took over with Roos following not long after

So the question was posed to Roos about what was wrong at the club or what his take was (words to that effect) and Roos just straight batted the player manager influence

So that was it.  Roos & PJ then went to work rebuilding the club

That's how I remember it but again, I always remembered the player manager comment

As an aside, I've got a Tiger mate who went to their B & F* in 2017 (Premiership year) and he was really annoyed that he didn't get to chat with one player.  He told me that the player managers were front & centre and formed some sort of barrier between the players & public attendees

*Tickets were upwards of $300 a pop

Yeah fair, definitely stands out as a comment.

I hope food and unlimited drinks were included in that $300+ for your mate

Yeah, he's my mechanic as well so money is not really an issue, BoBo haha

But the way he described the partition type wall separation the players with the player managers forming that barrier, was a real eye-opener

Needless to say, he hasn't been to another B & F

“Players running their own agenda” is the best quote I’ve seen on this whole issue. Lewis knows exactly what’s going on and the poor way the Petracca stuff has been leaked.

The Agenda is that the Club needs to get better, right now over Summer.
Our number one Player has told the Club to shape up. I applaud it

If he hadn’t said anything and Morris did make up garbage, there would have been a response, but there has been nothing from the Tracc Camp and he has been training with the boys

This was targeted at the Board, Executive and Coaches

Goody said as much this morning

“We have to get better…”

I agree re that it was more than likely said said,  but to bring it into the public domain is what irks me a bit. I get that the publicity adds a touch more seriousness to it but it does come at a cost.

Let’s say Tracc does indeed wish to leave..what gets the deal done? It’s have to be massive for the club to entertain it. No one is willing to give us much. We’d want picks and players.

That's the concerning part is that Lewis is still quiet connected and close mates with the likes of Gawny, Melksham and few others.

Certainly he'd be aware of what's going on.

It has to be in the Public eye, that’s the only way to get a serious reaction.
A lot of this stuff should have been done last Summer, but it was kept quiet.
Now it has to be done thoroughly…

I have no doubt Tracc made the Comment to someone, because he hasn’t challenged it….

I mean 4 top 10 picks and the best player of what ever club it is works too.

That's an interesting comment by Roos, I haven't heard that before. Any ideas on what he meant more specifically?

When there is turmoil at a club, player managers(sharks) circle.

two top 10 picks and a player would be my asking price.

Lets say hypothetically he wanted to go to North Melbourne, i'd want Pick 2, their future first and Zane Duursma

it'd be a really big haul.

Care to elaborate ? I have no idea in such things and am genuinely interested of what we should have done.

If and I mean if, he wants to go. It will be to Collingwood. He won’t play in front of small crowds, been vocal on this. He is super family oriented and they love the Filth..

He’s wouldn’t go to anyone but a club in the window which immediately kills the deal because they don’t usually have the picks to get deals like this done.

Not able to elaborate on this forum

Have to say that I liked the calm demeanour from Goody in his presser today, having just watched it. I also liked the way he engaged with TM without all of the histrionics we saw from Luke Beveridge to the same journo.

As regards to Trac all I'll say is that I'd be very disappointed if he's using the media as a proxy to force changes on the inside.

it'd start at two first round picks and a best 22 player as a make-weight for the salary

so, say it's the peptides, it's 2 first + parish

and even then WE WOZ ROBBED

Sure

It’s just one doesn’t want one to think one greedy

The Qantas Club International Lounge staff already know that due to my proclivity for Chivas and coke (!) but I’ve got a reputation here to maintain.

Sort of.

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
