Trac won't speak until he has either got a trade or is staying. 

Speaking before either thing occuring is not in his best interest. 

But the longer the silence lingers the more likely he is already gone.

Yeah i noticed the comment about 3 players attending the lunch and then 3 players leaking - seems convenient.

It could just be that the players want to try and reassure the supporters or let them know the truth. 

My feeling is they know he is probably gone.

Well not really. What was said was that Trac's issues had been mentioned a few times. Media mention 3 at lunch and 3 players talking anonymously and everyone falls for 'oh it was the same 3'. So many fail to think.

I mostly agree but I would say the longer the silence lingers the more likely he'll choose to leave, because getting the trade to happen will be difficult

One of those players could have also told a friend who then possibly leaked to the media.

The bottom line out of all this may well be that any medium or smaller club (not under-written by head-office) by definition has a bad culture.

100% - said this a few days back. The Trac camp is trying to change the narrative back to med treatment on KB. As the brand Trac narrative was damaging. 

Whately is such a snivelling moraliser.

That editorial placed the blame for this situation squarely at the feet of the club. downplayed the branding and bigger club dimensions. actually, implied these were leaked by the club to make trac look bad. I think his grand narrative is this all arose because the club and AFL wanted to avoid any potential repercussions from how trac was handled from a medical perspective on KB.

The club have issues of which the board are at fault but painting Trac as the 100% victim here is insane. Is it because he wants to keep him sweet so he continues to rock up to 360?

Yes, it could be telling us that he doesn't like the personal pile on to his brand manager and is now trying to divert that and just blame the club for his reason to leave, yet only willing to go to a "big Victorian club" and only again to one or at worst two of those.

The Tigers are a big Victorian club, training in Melbourne and will have multiple picks in the top 10 and probably the easiest club to get a deal done with, given the top players they will be losing and the need for some good PR and a major signing.

No he wouldn’t in this instance. He’s defending him because he’s part of the AFL360 family. He’s trying to pin it back on the club after the Roffey interview.

But based on his research back with what Melbourne and the AFL said about Petracca’s condition, it lines up with the timeline as to when the Petracca family became upset. I have no doubt that us painting it as rosy really annoyed him and the family. 

What Gerard is failing to grasp is the level that Trac is using this as a scapegoat to facilitate a trade for other reasons which has been leaked (e.g. Brand Petracca). If there was no truth to that element, Petracca would be happy to go anywhere.

Definitely the messaging seems to be moving back to what is perceived to be more sympathetic ground. Only after what appears to to be the true intention backfired.

If he's going the club should take the best offer regardless of trading partner. Do feel the messaging around the lack of support by the board, coaches, players etc is to force the club to accept whatever Blues or Pies offer, ably assisted by Morris and Maclure putting their 'gossip' out there (thanks Maxy).

Fair call ElDiablo. I think most teams have at least a couple of these sort of games each season, which probably speaks to how competitive our teams have been for at least 3 years where have been in virtually every game. Being clearly beaten in probably 4 matches is something we haven't experienced in quite a while.

I still think we will bounce back strongly given the personnel we have missed this season and what we will gain in the offseason.
