Would love to know what his concerns are, beyond the obvious management of his terrible injury.

He is the next captain. Max should hand it over if we can calm his concerns.

I am a bit disillusioned tbh, we are playing like the team played in 2015-17. Just minimising damage and little excitement and intent. It’s gotten a bit better but it’s galling watching the Dees versus a Hawks or any team that plays with confidence.

We have to keep him. We just have to keep him.

But if we don’t - clear it out - we are not going anywhere if we lose him.

Imo - Clarry has already checked out. If he can get his desperation & commitment back - then of course none of us would ever want him to leave.

But if he doesn't - you'd still want to keep him around?

If you've managed large teams you'd be aware of the importance of upholding and demonstrating high standards - and how small cracks spread and undermine collective effort.

It's not as black and white as you make it - there are versions of Clarry like there are versions of each of us. The clarry that won 4*bnfs is welcome at any time. The current version - we would be best to move on from.

Nup can't have it, he is still a work in progress! Keep coz if he goes so too do many many die hard members. Plus WE OWE HIM!

Our training facilities don’t inspire elite standards. They’re an embarrassment to everyone, the players too.

The club needs to stop being pathetic, given we’re not spending multi-millions on facilities, travel the players to the US.  Do an Arizona high-performance off-season that is enviable and meaningful.

Take the weakness of nowhere to be and make it a strength that we can travel anywhere.

Time to do something about the state of how the club is run. Far beyond firing or swapping inconsequential staff.

Yep I noticed Melbourne Storm are wallowing in ineptitude with their training facilities.

So potentially within the span of 12 months

Brayshaw - retired

Oliver - linked to Adelaide

Viney - linked to North

Petracca - possibly requesting a trade

What the bleep has happened to this football club?

only one established FACT in that list

He would have enough sway to do that for sure. But Morris says he’s not unhappy with Goodwin, so it’s hard to know what info Morris is reporting truthfully and what he is making up.

Who believes much from Tom Morris?

This is an underrated factor. A lot of large financial contributors in the Coterie etc are also player sponsors and friends with the families of the players.

It’s a leaky ship at the moment.

The moment the club takes its direction from parents, coterie members or sponsors is the moment we should give it away. There’s no doubt pressure on the club and those within it, as there should be after this year. Once again it’s all about the preseason for mine.

Sticking fat, supporting and being galvanised doesn't equate to having one's head in the sand.

And many on here continually have their head in the sand and don't want to hear a bad word about the club, ever. Period. If that is the kind of support and 'sticking fat' you're talking about, we may as well shut up shop. Being blissfully ignorant is about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike and won't get the club anywhere.

I make those remarks because I find it hilarious that despite all of the evidence, the cheers-squad type supporters just refuse to bat an eyelid, either calling it all BS or saying it's actually Trac that's the problem! Or not only that, it's about anything but what's going on behind closed doors. 'injury, loading, stats stats stats backing up the theory that we're injured, we're loading'. Rinse and repeat.

People just don't want to dig deep enough or hear anything that might pop their lala land bubble. Why? Because it feels uncomfortable and 'negative'. Again I think that says more about them then anything else.

Obviously we all want the club to succeed. Those of us who have seen some worrying signs now have wondered if there are some things going on behind the scenes and it turns out that we're correct.

And now the cheer-squad parade are worried that it'll ruin demonland when they should actually be feeling positive about the outcomes/changes that might come from this admission! So you can have both! Accept and understand that not everything is just peaches and roses, but know that out of this will come new growth, opportunity, change and good times again!

Trac's not happy with the direction of the club.

[censored] ay!

What a relief, somebody said it within our club!

Now to get to get to work, whatever that entails. We should welcome it all.

Gee you have to wonder how Cripps..Bont …Merrett handle what their clubs are going through. When your season doesn’t go to plan …inevitably the witch hunt begins. I am the optimistic supporter but not stupid enough to think change isn’t  needed. I also refuse to deal in rumour & innuendo …I believe most of the players we want signed are resigned so will hold fire until an official statement comes out from the club saying certain players want to leave.

8 minutes ago, DistrACTION Jackson said:

Hang on, do you want change or don’t you? If Viney and Petracca are unhappy with aspects of the club, wouldn’t one of them be playing Clarry?

Would it?
I mean you could argue that, equally you could argue Jack and Trac are happy to see the club stick by one of their best when he is struggling off the field, knowing it could very well be them one day, or has been them before.
Prior to his injury, Trac Clarry and Gawn would hang out before each game playing chess. Doesn’t scream “I hate you” to me.

It is anyone’s guess what Trac is unhappy about, despite what posters here are telling you they know.
It could be about certain teammates, it could be about his line coach or Goodwin or the fitness staff or Alan Richardson or the tea lady making terrible meatballs. Maybe he’s been asking for his Nonna to do the match day catering and they said no.

I didn’t say they should. I am saying that the leaky ship is very leaky and there’s plenty of disenfranchised people.

Also, this stuff is not something a preseason will fix. It will be fixed or we will be [censored] by the end of trade week.

No I agree…. Just making a point about people calling for change but no one knows what change they are calling for. Unless you are directly in contact with Petracca or Viney or Goody no one has a clue what the issues are

The Viney thing is literally laughable.
North are probably looking to bring some mature leadership to their club, and because Todd works there Viney’s name was probably brought up.
Do we all really think Jack is going to leave to go to a wooden spooner in the twilight of his career? Like wtf are people on?

Only if I can be coach!!

Listening to Morris’ comments, if it’s not the coaches, then it must be Richo, Lamb and Pert, right?

Trac said [censored] btw. Morris spewed information that has not been confirmed. I hope it is just verbal vomit.

The attack on the “cheer squad” is an attack on @WalkingCivilWar! WCW puts in for this club and loves our boys like family. That’s how a functional family works. Nothing to do with being uncomfortable , just showing their personal values as a club person and person.

Wanting the club to succeed and doing something positive for the club to succeed are two different things.

The argument on the affirmative side supporting this club is not about the content. It is purely about the method in how you and your cronies act. It’s repetitive, blaming, personal (to the players, club and many supporters) it’s disrespectful.

How the hell does an all-time club great "check out". How does it get to that? Like I am not giving him a pass at all here, but we're not being told something here.

It reads to me like the club's collective EQ matches that of a potato. You then have the likes of Oliver, who goes off the rails and needs support. And the club's response is, "Shape up or ship out!".

Oliver's 2022 season:

1. AFLCA Player of the Year

2. All Australian

3. Best and Fairest

4. ANZAC Eve medal

5. King's Birthday medal

6. Lou Richards medal

The above isn't exclusive to 2022.

Oliver's 2023 season:

"His standards aren't up to it. He's on the trading block!"

What the heck?

Now Trac is saying he isn't happy with the club. Maybe Oliver isn't the problem here. Maybe in throwing Oliver to the wolves, it has divided the club.

Which is ironic given some of the players we've brought in this past 24 month period.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
