Lamby feeling a touch generous with contract lengths or just a refection of the trade market...?

Bizarre social media post.

It’s a bit of fun. I for one am happy with our improved social media posts.

Seems the club have employed a work experience kid for socials!

Good to have lingers hanging around though.

Stoked to have him sign on.  He's been a terrific player for us.

Don't all the players hate Goody though?

As much criticism as Lamb has gotten in recent weeks (much of it deserved), one thing he has done a great job of in his tenure is signing up all of our important players (Jackson excepted, not on Lamb though)

Excited to see Ed running up and down the Shane Warn wing for many more years to come!

Lingers! The best winger in the game.

Love the 4 years. The guy is a freak and will be 32 by his final year of contract. No problem with that at all. He may even get another contract or two after that.

Well done, Tim Lamb.

You don’t think the fittest man in football can play another 4 seasons?

His agent owes us a favour!! That is a long contract.

I reckon he can run until 2048.

Of course the one day I raise concerns around when he would sign his contract they... announce his contract signing 🙄

Great to have him on board!

Another great thing about this re-signing is Windsor has a wing partner for the next 4 years and we can really plan around that.

Brilliant.

4 years = less money than say 3 years.
Smart list move to keep cap space to lure free agents etc.

Langdon is only 28. It’s a no brainer to give him 4 years. At worst he will be a very good depth player at 32. Everyone crying about our lack of depth but also don’t want to sign anyone for longer than 2 years.

Great news. 4 years seems about right to me.
Say we play on average 25 games a season that’s  100 games and 1600km for the running machine.

Excellent re-signing on the back of a rebound to form season.

Would’ve been shocked had he looked elsewhere given we let him go to his sisters’s wedding overseas (which was the right to do by the way)

So about $1,500 per kilometre roughly?

  • Demonland changed the title to Ed Langdon Re-Signs Until 2028

Thank you Ed Langdon and MFC a great signing, I was hoping for three but rapt with four, Ed could break the 300 game barrier , he runs so effortlessly. That’s all our critical re-signings.😁❤️💙

D’ya reckon Caleb will stay on the wing long term? I think it’ll be interesting to see what the plan is.

I told you it’s imminent don’t panic 😆

He should by shares running around the MCG, would make a killing by the time he is done.

Nope, I think he'll move between wing, half back and midfield, but having Lingers signed up means one wing is sorted and maybe there's another wing for Howes or even Woey...

Agree. I think he’ll be our Josh Kelly.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
