All sorts of trade dross 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Has there ever been a story more driven by the media than this?

Only way I see Oliver leaving is if Saints, Bombers or Tigers put their hand up and convince him to come. Cats aren't going to pay that much for him.

Players not fussed if Oliver's traded.. speaks volume in itself.

No, and no doubt at Geelong's direction.

It sounds boring but is actually an important ritual for keeping Collingwood supporters out - they look and ask where the tennis balls are.

Channel 10 is still around?

They are currently having a revival led by a gameshow format they borrowed from the BBC hosted by celebrity talent on loan from the ABC.

TLDR: give my son a bottle of bleach and free rein to run off half back.

Unfortunately woe jnr isn’t going to make the cut… his decision making is way to slow for AFL level. The pace of attack slows when he has the ball

Unfortunately the fact that this rumour hasn’t been put to bed usually means that there is a strong possibility that Oliver will be traded. At no point in time has Oliver actually come out and said that he is staying. As it stands today, Oliver is out the door.

the increasing use of the word cringe in this context is quite annoying

Also... seriously, isn't pretty much everyone's 19th Birthday their worst... so far...

Mine was awesome

.......OR!.
No trades since day one and they have nothing else to talk about.
Graeme Wright as CEO was the most exciting thing that happened on trade radio,.... not sure if Collingwood gets a future president in return.

Oliver’s opinion is largely irrelevant. All that matter is whether Geelong are serious or totally taking the [censored] as usual.

If they make us a reasonable deal then we can have a conversation.

sorry, back for another crack at this post.
Can I just flip some of your words.... and in doing so they are still 100% as accurate as yours.  Humour me.

"At no point in time has Oliver actually come out and said that he is leaving. As it stands today, Oliver is a Dees player."

Oliver does not have to say anything, and nor should he.  Tim Lamb and Brad Green publicly have said he isn't going anywhere. Technically as it stands today, that is the ONLY definitive statement about Oliver that has been made.

Should I believe them? not definitively, but I trust them more than Barrett, McClure and the others that are bored because nothing is happening.

Nonsense, Oliver trade has had almost more media attention than trac. It’s in everyone’s best interest to quash the story and move on. A 2 minute interview saying how much he is looking forward to next season is sufficient. Concerning that they can’t even give us that

oh, sorry he's had media attention!  😲  damn, how could I have missed that part.

Thanks, phew my life now will so much easier, I can just let the media tell me what is true!

The rumour is floating around because people are bored, and the MFC is an easy target at the moment with the mess they are in. Petracca was 100% gone, before he wasn't, and my statement where I changed a couple of words is absolutely as accurate as your words were, it is not nonsense. It's just opinions!

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
