Hope we do the Macrae/Daniel double for maximum melts

If only Lobb hadn’t have come into form late - we could have gone for the trifecta

He is on par with Trac for disposal efficiency over career

Unfortunately, that's a con not a pro.

Macrae the most interesting player of the trade period. Only averaged 12% (!) CBA's this year.

Cooked? Bevo'd? Both?

Treacle slow one position player in a game increasingly demanding speed and spread.

Both are cooked. Seriously.  Answer is NO.  They are on big money with reduced output.
Have we not learnt anything?
Salary dump strategy of guys like Hunter & Billings is going backwards!!!

Is Adam Cerra Gettable?

Was brought up in mid week tackle as a name to keep an eye on potentially.

Decent fit for us, 5 hammies in 12 months is a massive red flag though. Might help the Blues get Houston if they offload him.

Nah, I was all for Cerra pre Carlton, but not only has he failed to live up to expectation Inhad on him, he's constantly injured.

The Carlton mid I'd like is Walsh, but he too has injury problems and they'd never let him go. He'd be perfect in our system.

I think Trac and the review into FD will demand our system changes, makes it hard to know who will suit us in 2025.

I think we need a Walsh or Andy Brayshaw type who is ultra consistent and dependable, not necessarily a game breaker but just does the hard/team orientated stuff each week.

Walsh would work in any system because he's a machine runner.

Having Lingers and Walsh in the same team would be a dream, and probably mean we could tweak our system even more.

Is that a him issue or a Carlton issue though? He’s certainly not the only player whose been plagued by soft tissues at that club

He was great for them last year when he was on the park - worth asking the question and doing some due diligence

Wonder if West Coast have any regrets about not taking that offer. That’s an enormous haul they’ve knocked back.

Curtin, Tholstrup and top 5 pick this year plus change.

Imagine if Reid wants to go home after 3 years.

Once the trade period washes through, delisted free agents like Matt Taberner and Seb Ross should be considered as depth options considering how thin our list was this year.

Taberner and Ross are both 31. I'd rather go for the best state league talent with a hunger to succeed than washed up players like these 2.

Taberner is the ideal replacement for Schache - wait a minute 🤔🤔

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
