Petty ahead of Brown and Jefferson? Every day of the week.

Everyday...  EVERYDAY ??

Tbh honest atm Petty is all over the shop..  brilliant one game....did he even turn up....turned it up on other occasions.   Personally,  and cue the wolves/ jackals/ meerkats.... I think overall he's quite 'average'.   Some will roll out excuses but you wander over that white line you've called yourself as good to go...  and often he isn't.   I get we're bereft of that real KPF..   Roo is good...but he's young....in 3 to 4 ...could be really something.    He Roo  does offer  a chop out to Max... so hes not the real KPF... Goody seems compelled /stuck with Petty.

Id give Jeffo a crack...   i dont see him as any worse... and might surprise  ( might not )

If Petty...its by reluctant default....and yeah....thats why you pick players eh

Go Dees

Freo have gotten the better of us the last two times, but I'd like to know why, aside from Freo being up and about for an MCG challenge,

In 2022 May went off with concussion at quarter time which threw our structure out the door as Rory Lobb of all people got the better of us.

In 2023 we went small and and forced Lever to play tall against the likes of Amiss, Tracey and Jackson and it backfired as per usual when we've gone in with a small defence.

Other than that, can anyone think what they've had over us from a tactical point of view.

Not tactics - just the ‘L’ word - or intensity of training volume and density. 👊🥩💥

Raining here since early last night. Falls of between 20-50mm locally. Due to clear though 🤞

Great interview, Goodie looks very relaxed which is pleasing. I'm very happy he's our coach!

That first one in 22 was a really out of character Freo performance where they came out in the second half and kept the ball moving like free flowing water. They got some good fortune with it and with May out the damage was tenfold.

Not expecting this to happen for sure but the message from me would be don't be slow to react if it does.

Roo out with a groin injury according to C7

There's always a Mystery Injury of the Week.

Felt some minor discomfort in his adductor at training today according to Richo. They expect JvR to be available next week.

FFS Roo out and umpire 22 in. Could not be any worse.

Ouch, that Roo injury is a real low blow...😉

May and Petty were both out in that game. We were very unlucky that night.

JVR out . Key forwards again in crisis.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
