We look so far off itย

Big dopey forwards that love to take pack marks sure do find their way to every single team except Melbourne. And always seem to tear us up.ย

Much like against Carlton I feel like we are letting a team that isn't really playing that well to take advantage of their moments. We're very lucky the Eagles aren't 7.0.

We don't deserve top 4, the way we are playing and the luck some of the other teams have (see Port and Collingwood). We will be lucky to play finals.ย

Unless things change drastically we are not a contender this season, simple as that.

If he wasn't ready for AFL level intensity, then don't play him.

Cupboard was bare dude. Back your players. Rubbishing a first gamer is poor form.ย

Well we had a chance to recruit McKay or Curnow, yet we decided to draft Weideman.

Someone give a Clarry a rocket. Or a hug. Whatever works. Just get him to wake up please. Weโ€™re getting killed.

It's nothing against him, this is on the selection. I was also not that sure we had to rush Salem so we'll see.

Not that far behind on the scoreboard and plenty of time left in this. We'll still win from here, but there are some serious problems we need to address if we're going to compete for a flag again this year and the next few. Our midfield has been horrible this year. Horrible. Our forward line doesn't have the right personnel, but the midfield does them no favors.

Really think it's time to go past Ben Brown.ย  Hope he proves me wrong for the rest of the game but I think he is cooked.

We are allowing them the moments to shineย

Perhaps the umpires should see how he is manhandled!

Low energy and premiership window rattling.

Pathetic attitude not turning up ready to go from the opening bounce.

We are on the back foot right from the start of most games. How about a little bit of proactivity?

Itโ€™s a long game, and Iโ€™m very patient, but this quarter was simply not good enough. To be smashed in the contest against a bottom 4 team is unacceptable.ย

I understand we are trying to change the way we play, by being more attacking off half back, but we seem to have completely lost our strength in contest and clearance.ย
May without Lever is also a concern. Waterman all over him.ย

To the โ€˜we will/must win this by 6-7 goals, minimumโ€™ crew - is that still the projected margin?

Weโ€™re being embarrassed here. Should be down by more.ย

Every single team thinks they can beat us, and thereโ€™s a reason for that. Here it is. We have our moments, no doubt, and our best can beat anybody, but we donโ€™t do it often enough anymore, and there are far too many threatening teams on the up. Really sad actually.ย

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecastโ€”20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze โ€” expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
