oliver is getting blatantly held around stoppages

Shouldn't the captain give a word to the umpires about it?

Feels like they are only officiating for the home team.

Winning some center clearance would be helpful

Petty down into the rooms for unknown reasons. Brilliant. He's made of glass sadly.

I think I saw him hit his head on the ground after a lead and got up groggy but played on

Must take the steam off this game, need to settle and get our heads into this

we're playing west coast. at optus. home town umpiring is a guarantee

Hate to say it but being called Naarm by Pavlich every ten seconds is just weird. IMO

This is some of laziest defending we've seen under Goodwins tenure. They've got loose players lining up in the corridor for Pete's sake. Unbelievable.

Not just a blip start now, Eagles are right in this and we'll have to work very hard to get a win.

Wake up Melbourne

they're outworking us all over the ground. the fix is easy, we need to up our intensity and effort.

They are tagging everyone and we let them run free. And the umps. JFC.

The curse of Norm turned into the curse of Narm . What are we 0-5 as Narm now?

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

  • PREVIEW: Geelong

"It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
