Cripps throws the ball.*

*Just getting in early.

It seriously does my head in how many times Oliver gets done for throwing yet Cripps never does. They throw it about the same amount.

Warner has a super tank.  Gets to so many contests.  Very strong over the ball and ability to put in multiple bursts out of congestion.

This is a shocking game

Carlton are losing and not getting every 50/50 from the umpires, pretty good game to me I reckon

Sydney is a team of supreme athletes that can kick. It’s the name of the game now.

Clarry's def being targeted by the umpiring fraternity here Ang.

While others are left to continue on their merry way.

Some, like Cripps, are untouchable as we witnessed during his default brownlow year.

These rules the AFL have created, make the Game now almost unwatchable

All the Suits should be held accountable

It’s a disgrace

What about the holding free given to Walsh? Trac and Clarry get absolutely nothing.

The rules have been bastardised to an extreme level now.

Agree. Walsh clearly was complaining to the umps over and over.  Finally got the free.  Trac and Clarry were scragged last week with no frees from the umps.  Heeney also tagged by Hewett.  Being held but Swans have plenty of runners to fill the gap. Swans by 5 goals and more.

Why doesn’t opposition club get to have its cheer squad behind the goals when playing Sydney?

WCW likely to have an answer. Probably the same reason that the Cats, prior to the new stand being built, had the away cheer squad on the flank. For some reason seats behind the goals are highly sought after. I reckon the GFC were told by the AFL they had to hand over one end (for TV purposes) when the new stand was built.

That’s a Sydney members only section. We sit in the pocket a few bays around from them.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
