The death of musician/recording legend Steve Albini is all the loss I can take for one day. Therefore the Demons must win by 33 (& 1/3) points.

Produced Fugazi among others.

He can't have been that old. That's a shock.

Legend is thrown around too easily in my humble, but there's debating his status as one of great producers, particularly in the rock space.

Righteous fella too.

Vale Steve.

Yeah. Aged 61. Heart attack.

I used the wrong emoji first time up!

sad day indeed.

Carlton I think are a very good team and much like us are very hard to beat. I expect it to be a very physical hard fought game and hope we get the win.

I also want to apologise to everyone on Demonland and the club. I was one of the people who had us missing finals in the pre season poll. The clubs performance last week and the way the season is going is full credit to the coaches and players. There is still a hell of a lot to play out this year but it’s very hard to see us missing finals from here.

I was wrong about us and I am very happy to be. Now let’s really turn up the heat on Carlton and get the win tonight.

I was already emotionally dead after the Collingwood final, that this loss meant nothing to me.

After what happened against Collingwood the entire season was done and dusted as far as I was concerned.

That we lost the next final because we couldn't kick straight, and also had JVR suspended while Maynard went free, is something I totally blocked out.

Don’t remind me. All I want is to jam Collingwood a new one on KB and then again in the finals. Personally I think that’s being very reasonable considering the circumstances. But first let’s just win tonight.

Go Demons, unleash hell.

Like many others suggested at the time, that qf was the grand final match and we came up short (for various reasons). I basically checked out after that, and watched the Carlton match on semi-delay-fast-forward.

No one think BB might play/

Agreed. We're not winning if they're kicking plus 100.

What percentage of teams win when the opposition kicks 100-plus?

One of the good ones who fought for the little guys. A titan of, and for, the music industry.

Never liked being called a producer, because he saw his role as simply capturing bands in their authenticity (even if he subsequently trashed them later haha). And never took any royalties.

Total legend, Vale indeed.

Any budding meteorologists here know what tonight’s weather will be? Seems like a small chance of shower but I wonder if it’ll be dewy again?

I went to the Carlton game and I was just numb. Considering the ramifications of the loss, I literally couldn’t care less. I was ready for 2023 to end the minute Maynard was free to play.

Absolutely Roost it far.

The big picture is smacking the pies and tearing them a new one come June. And then the grand final.....

It's just a must do.

So we need as much form and momentum as we can get. Gotta go in there tonight and take no prisoners.

At the end of the day I forget. This whole season is about beating the filth and then facing them in a granny where one could argue that we want to see a few bumps back on the day and the pies beaten like never before.

Then again I'm not much of a fan of Carlton so tonights win will be enjoyable too.

Straighter kicking tonight please lads, I do not want a repeat of last year and this time take care of @freekickCarlton.

I was completely the same. Albeit it's a long season, but for the most part I have far more confidence in our team this year as opposed to the previous two seasons.

I wouldn't go as far to say that I'm completely happy, but we're trending in the right direction and very impressed that we've gone down the path of bringing in some youth to the 23 each week.

Given Fritter owns Q4, I think the answer is to re(sign) Jesse, and maybe go for McKay for Q1 haha (DEFINITELY NOT CODY and Naughton, meh). 4 qtr team right there.

Nerve shakin MFCSS over here.

I have a 9pm meeting I cannot get out of. Why does life suck?!

Why do we play footy on work nights?!

Curnow will be dreading this game

Who we got?  Melbourne?

Oh no, Steven May haunts my dreams

We owe them from last year. Lets hope it's not close like last year.

Hope we have a good win & lever, McDonald & may play like they did last week

McKay didn't play the last two times we've faced them.  In the 3 games prior to that, we haven't a match up for him he's kicked 9 goals, taken 10 contested marks and 12 marks inside 50s. And fwiw,  he towelled us up during the practice match earlier this year.  He's a very good player and the one we need to stop imo. TMac strengths matched up well to Cameron,  I'm not so sure for McKay, so hope he gets lots of help.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
