6-2 hey @binman

What a funny coincidence.

I was literally just scrolling down to post we achieved our 6-2 goal.

I'm calling it. Top 4 lock.

Let’s carry this into Thursday night.
That was pure Demon Spirit!!!

For those following the Dermie "cats wasted their chances" halftime narrative, he's chosen to stick with that in the postgame too. Absolutely no idea.

Repeat after me Jaded.

Don't go on the game day thread once the game starts.

Suck on that Cats. I love beating that team.

Goal of the season to Fritsch. Magic effort to win it.

Fritsch kicks that goal as casual as you’ll see to seal a game. Cool as ice.

Lov beaten the puzzie cats.

Tmac what a game bloody awesome.

GO DEES.

I don't often delight in other people's misery but beating a Scott brother always feels good.

Don't forget Cameron and Dawkins.

I thought Max really rode in the last 30 odd mins. Cats players must wake in a cold sweat about him. But our other big men shone in Lever, May and yes Petty.

T Mac showing a lot of us what a professional he is. A very good footballer.

How old was he when we recruited him? 21?

Yes, I think so. Noticed doing well at Casey and drafted from there.

Lever was fantastic,  petty marked everything that came his way & fritta finished beautifully.

A great win.

So good to keep Hawkins & cameron goaless but more frustrating we only just won. Thought before the game if this happened we'd win easily

These wins galvanise teams.

We stepped up and despite seemingly trying to kick ourselves out of it, did what we had to do, when we needed to do it. Highlights for me, Caleb clutch tackle and goal, and the FRIBBLER!

Go Dees 🔥

Defibrillator not required fortunately. Some brilliant Demons’ goals in the last quarter after the drought broke. Loved it 🥰!

Tom MacDonald proved JC doesn’t walk on water.

Good to see him get some recognition. Enormous fitness.

And then we wasted 2 years of his career trying to use him as a half back haha 😅

I was despondent at 3 qtr time. Thought we’d blown it through bad kicking.

but up stepped Maxy with the captains goal to inspire us. What a leader.

he’s playing as well as ever. AA selection number 7 looking a cert.

Was hilarious when they cut to Mooney who called it one of the best defensive performances he’s ever seen. Completely contradicting Brereton’s narrative.

Biased buffoon who is incapable of looking past his distaste for Melbourne.

Dermis cut short one of the commentators who said Geelong had an off night. Dermis said Melbourne forced them to have an off night.

I died 12 times during this game. The real winner is my heart for holding up.

Hands up if you had Caleb Windsor to kick more goals tonight than Hawkins, Cameron, Miers, and Rohan COMBINED (!)  on your bingo card.  Be honest, now.

Windsors highlights of this game prove he is worthy of 7’s MVP and TV. If he doesn’t get rising star someone must be kicking 10 tomorrow.
Caleb is a jet and has the ability to be a serious long term player with many an all Australian jacket collected along the way. Love what he is doing now but can’t wait to see what he brings in the future

This might just be the sweetest rail replacement bus journey home yet.

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
