Sometimes I wonder why Sparrow gets selected.

Today is one of them.

he is pretty important to the midfield rotation and making sure our other mids get a rest

Still a lot of work needed on our entries. Oliver has absolutely butchered some of his entries. Trying to be too cute and just completely missing the target.

Feel like if we just get some better connection and can nullify Jones better we’ll run away with it.

Credit to Goodwin. Our attacking method feels different. We are using the corridor more. Our field kicking has been good. We are taking a moment to assess the next kick attacking out of half back. I like it.

Nice to have BB and Tmac back. Both are doing their job well. Clarry is a beast. Really loving the look of howes, Windsor and billings.

Plenty to like!

May and Clarry physically monstering them

Billings and Windsor providing the class

Seeing a lot more kick and mark and spread than last year. Far from perfect but good to see Goody is implementing changes to the game plan

Umpiring standard this season leaves a lot to be desired.

We seemed to have taken our foot off their neck in the second halve of the second quarter.

Great effort from Bb and good to see Chin of old.

Kozzie gone cold.

May playing very well.

Hore is back where he belongs.

Jvr totally mia that quarter.

He and Fritta need to get going. Moreso Fritta.

Max atoning for last week.

Viney was quiet that quarter after a blistering start.

Seemed like we took our foot off a little in the second half of that qtr. a little bit of a missed opportunity but I appreciate it’s warm out there. Might need to conserve energy?

Windsor has been excellent.  So quick of mind and hands. Love him already.

Using the half time breaks to read more this year.

Currently reading Hymns of the Republic by S.G Gwynne which details the last year of the Civil War. Highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised by TMac, BBB and Hore. Sparrow has done SFA. Lever still below par.

Stoked with Bbb.

From reports I was expecting him to play with a cane

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. 2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
