Imagine how hard it would be to win away games if every Victorian team had a bespoke stadium that they train on, and then they only allowed 40,000 people in, and just 5% of that got allocated to opposition supporters?

Thats what Geelong have.
It’s the biggest advantage in the modern game by quite some margin.

Earlier I'm pretty sure I heard one of the c7 commentators claim cats have won 84 out of the last 100 there. If that's true it's a big bias.

And in any case your right.  Their usual 9 wins at home are the standard foundation to get them into the eight.

Considering the Dees forward line limitations and how we lack cohesion and a strong target, if you want to see a forward line train wreck, have a look at Adelaide tonight!

They should make the top 6 every year by default with such a huge advantage.

how many blonde hair band fairies do the Cats have???

Damn. Thought the hillbillies were going to cough that one up.

To top it off, we have to see Cameron Ling’s cheesy grin, cracking inbred Geelong in-jokes with Dangerfield and Holmes.

Ugh was hoping danger would miss & Saints would run it down the other end & kick a goal.

It was a good kick by danger though

Rubbish free kick though. The Saints player was desperately tracking the ball and then Danger runs over the top of him. Hey dangerous [censored] happens sometimes.

The off season really isn’t long enough when it comes to David Kings commentary.

Just witnessed the biggest Geelong w*#kfest ever.

Between Ling Selwood & all the nancy headbands l think they’ve become my most hated club

well at least it did get a little exciting near the end

but one of the worst games of footy skills you'll see

Come on it's Collingwood surely. Even if it wasn't Collingwood before last year it has to be them now.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
