Think you know what will happen on Monday and Tuesday? Are you prepared to show the rest of us you really do know what's happening? Here's a thread for you. Just tell us all who we'll select at next week's draft. Simple. No justifications are necessary (but feel free to expand if you wish). If you're really courageous, don't qualify your selections by saying it depends on who else is selected first. Just give us the names of the players who will be on our list by Tuesday night. Closest the pin will win something from Demonstone's prize cupboard.

I have no idea who is who, so no names from me.

I'm going to go extremely left field because why not

6 - Windsor

11 - Tholstrup

I reckon Hawks will pass on Curtin and we’ll take him with 6

I reckon we’ll take Tholstrup at 11 even if Windsor is still on the board

42 will be traded for a future pick unless a top 25 prospect in JT’s eyes slips that far down the ladder

I'm actually also tipping a switcheraoo on draft night - but not in the Harley Reid way.

With Curtin still available at pick 6, Eagles agree to trade their No.1 pick for next year and pick 23 this year and in return we give them our No.1 pick for next year.

The outcome of that is we take:

Pick 11 - James Leake

Pick 23 - Aidan O'Driscoll

Pick 42 - Vigo Visentini

Plus Kynan Brown either via being forced to give up 78 or as a rookie.

And next year we will most likely have a pick in the top four, depending on where the Eagles finish up.

What I want to happen:

6&11 for 3&15. We take Duursma & Tholstrupp or Leake (but more likely Wilson).
North tries to bundle 2&11 for pick 1.

What I predict:

6: Caddy

11: Leake

Bang on. Seconded.

Curtin and Tholstrup

Koltyn Tholstrup because Koltyn Tholstrup.

Sounds like a character in a Kurt Vonnegut novel. 😁

In my universe this also happens.

Reid

or Curtin and Tholstrup

or Duursma and someone at pick 15/17

Jason Taylor is on Gettable at 12.45 today. I'm sure we'll know exactly what we will pick then. 😉

But will we? He’ll be guarded, like he should be.

Of course he will. I was very much tongue in cheek. But will be worth a listen anyway. Even if it is just confirming we haven't a clue. 😆

Am I the only person wondering if Koltyn Thorstrup is related to the Alby Mangels impersonating, wanna-be adventurer/explorer/publicity seeker Hans Tholstrup?

Pick 6 - O’Sullivan

Pick 11 - Leake

Pick 42 - Ashton Moir

F/S - Kynan Brown

Rookie - Marty Hore

In some universe it will for sure

First pick - Nate Caddy (I like the idea of having JVR, Jefferson and Caddy as our forward options in the medium to long term given Petty's likely gone)

Second pick - Charlie Edwards. I could be wrong but JT has a history of not always picking the highest ranked available with his second to fourth picks.

I think we will get Reid.

Nth think they are no chance, JT has been to Esperance sending the clear message we will take the best WA talent if it falls at our picks. West Coast take the flight risk with Read and missing out on multiple high end picks. There is something going on.

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.
