They interviewed Robertson at quarter time and he said he is at least another week away, so I'm sure he won't play. Don't need Wheatley. Rivers and McLean will be welcomed returns especially McLean his injury has ruined our season he can not be replaced. What has happened to Whelan ? He would also be a welcomed return.

As if Wheatley is good enough to walk straight back into the team.

Via Sandy for you, says me.

Taking out the average journalistic skills that those writers have, you'd think by not mentioning Ricky that his hammy is fairly serious?!

Petterd will play, or at least be right to play. Don't forget, he's still a developing you lad and you have to be carefull that you don't over do their workload. I think it was ND that said he just had hammy soreness and they didn't want to push him.

Rivers will play and if McLean is right, he'll be a walk up 22 (off the bench as an impact player though).

rivs will play and thats about all i think, mclean will play for sandy and same for robbo who i doubt will play full stop.

McLean wore his last ever Sandy guernsey a few years ago.

McLean and Rivers will be a welcoming psychological boost for the teams moral.

Once Robbo, Wheatley, Whelan and Pettard are right to go we will be unstoppable.

If Robbo, Rivers, McLean and Wheats are right, they should be given a walk into the 22.

Even if they are named off the bench simply and purely as impact players.

Wheats is not a walk up start I'm afraid. Unless another big injury run happens won't see him again in the red and blue.

I think the return of Robertson, McLean, Rivers and Whelan would be enough to start the winning juggernaut at Melbourne.

Won't happen this week, Rivers needs time to get right, we can't keep having avalaible one week out the next give him another week, Mclean and Robbo won't be risked at Subi.

The way I see it, Moloney seems to be struggling. Do we play him another week and risk his season?

McLean is not returning from a soft tissue, if he can kick and run he should play. All be it off the bench. He must be able to have more impact than Moloney.

Robertson said on the footy show a couple weeks back that his knee felt great and it was just the medical staff holding him back. He also said on Channel 7 on Sunday he should be playing footy in the next week or two.

I believe Robertson's inclusion could be the catalyst this week. If nothing else he provides a spark in the forward line. If fit he should play FF, with Neitz at CHF. I'd instruct him to pulely lead, try not to go for any hangers.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
