Fair analysis although maybe a bit harsh on Grundy. I thought he was very good in a couple of his solo ruck games. Gawn as a forward failed miserably though.

thanks JoeBoy for anoyher season of reflections.

May - give him Bluey !

Thanks 'joeboy' for another great season....

The first & sometimes only post I go to after every game.

Not blooding JVR during the season last year was one of the biggest mistakes Goodwin and co. have made. Even 4-5 games would have been sufficient. VFL performance dictated it. Would have been better for the run. Woewodin got invaluable experience this year (and probably should have played a final).

EDIT: Woey should have probably replaced Langdon halfway through the year for a stretch of 6-7 games. Felt like him playing in the same squad as Huntet and Langdon was detrimental to both him and the team.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
