Let us all hope dearly for a GWs Lions GF

oh my god it would be a joy. The AFL commercial corrupt cartel would lose their minds

please god make this happen

i’d personally prefer a Magpies v Lions GF. with Lions winning of course.Ā

Will traumatise the Pies more. flashback to the early 2000’s

ABC - Anyone but Collingwood

My preferred winners in order - GWS (for Jesse), Lions, Carlton, Pies. I don't like the expansion clubs but GWS look the business.

The Pies will be getting nervous.

Such a pity Hogan had all the issues he had 7-8 years ago

talent wise he should be a 700 goal fwd

How handy would he be at the Dees now!!

Ā

How good are GWS to watch at the moment?

Fast, brutal, and most importantly, accurate footy

We've lost Hogan, Jackson and Bedford on Goodwin's watch.

Hogan & Jackson requested a trade, hogan homesick & mentally gone and didnt last with behaviour issues so no one trusted him, Jackson por of gold, bedford yes didn’t play him often enough in 22,by the thickhead coachĀ

Even though it sucks for us, I reckon this finals series is good for the game. Two elimination finalists playing prelims and at least one a huge chance of winning one. It’s not inconceivable that both GWS and Carlton make the GF.

It also will give teams who are going absolutely horribly at the Bye cause for optimism for a long time.Ā

Yep.

Collingwood losing a GF > Collingwood losing a prelim.

Off to the Port Bigfooty forum and specifically the sack Hinkley thread for a half time giggle.

Just stay on Demonland and read Hinkley wherever you see Goodwin

I was just telling my partner about all he went through with his dad and then his diagnosis. He went through a lot, and I wish him every success.

The only good outcome for 2023 now is for the Giants to win it all.Ā

An epic conundrum. Seeing them lose in the GF by lots and lots and lots of a kick after the siren would be the besybest

Bedford asked to leave because he did not believe he could break into the team. The club offered him a three year contract.

A really really good take on things! Chapeau!

There's a lot of criticism about Goodwin but I don't think anyone here is crazy enough to think he should be sacked.

Hinkley definitely shouldn't have lasted as soon as he has.

A GWS V Brisbane GF would be an amazing outcome for humanity.

I’m happy to admit I’m on the Giants train and will be pleased if they snag this years flag.Ā

Their game is so good to watch - wish it was red and blue guernseys.Ā

Both offered contract extension before the finals and out in straight setsĀ

Also, Hogan was "ill disciplined" but we're about to recruit McAdam and recruited Hunger lol

I know we got good value for all of them but gee whiz, you can't ignore the common denominator of forwards wanting to leave.

what an epic choke by Port

imagine if Goody put in one Hinkleys famous chokes?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.Ā

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
