Interesting FTB. Where are the standing bays they only open for the GF?

Believe that MCC ends up with a lot more standing room on Grand final day.

There will probably be 90,000 at the MCG for this finals match between Melbourne and Collingwood.

At least that's my prediction. 🤔

I’m going for 93k:

2018 we got 91.8k against the Cats and 90.2k against the Hawks.

2022 Pies got 91.5k against the Cats and 90.6k against Freo.

I reckon we’re good for a few more in the MCC than at a Freo game so guestimaths says 93k.

undermining the value of memberships most of us have paid for and used for the last 7 months.

Isn't the value of a reserved seat membership just the reserved seat for 11 home games and the grand final guarantee? As a GA member I kind of like the level playing field that the finals ticket process is currently. I agree with you regarding the questionable $30 'memberships' to access finals tickets though. They should be more expensive.

Without a doubt every time I try to get finals tickets it only works on a mobile. Never on PC

I was on both pc and mobile. It was the pc that came up first so I used that. Just luck of the draw I think.

Had the surreal experience of being a Melbourne supporter talking a Carlton supporter at work through how to go about buying her finals tickets tomorrow. 😂

PC, Laptop, mobile and laptop came up trumps.

Game is officially sold out according to the club

Sold out as in 85k?

Or more like 95k?

🤔🤔

more like 75k

the rest is dependent upon corporate and mcc allocations

I’ll eat my hat if we get under 90k to this game.

i would hope it'll be 95k plus change

but in terms of actual ticket SALES, it's quite a bit less

PC, Mobile and laptop for me... Mobile won for MCC and PC won for MFC

Got my 3 members tickets easily this morning. The other 8 I was after for various interested parties got nowhere in the public section --- couldn't seem to get anything more than 1 ticket somewhere random despite being online on multiple browsers right on the dot of 3.00. Looks like it is 3 lucky ones at the ground and the rest at a family watch party at home ...

MCC has already sold out its allocation and wslk up on day now is the rest in that Reserve. Should all  be taken on the night.

Lots of Filth Supporters ringing SEN This Morning wanting to Burn down Ticketek.

Good, hope they miss out. Its too hard for them to be patient and figure it out, they can't simply scratch an X on a signature line, like they do at Centerlink

Really hope it’s a true sell out. Hands down the best final of the series unless we meet again in the GF.

I feel like it’s unfair that someone who pays a couple of grand a year to support the club has the same access as someone who paid $50 to become a member in July. It’s not a value judgement of either person, merely an observation on the access established by the membership concept itself.

For example I’m not a Trident member, but I fully support those members getting earlier access than me, because their investment in the club is greater than mine. 👍

As a Member, Got 20 rows up in level 1 between HFF and Forward pocket....cost $64.00 plus usuals $70 bucks all up. HAPPY!

I was wondering if they had turned on their Laptop…

Reasonable expectation is that it will be around 93. If the MCC is a lockout which it should be and the corporates show up, it will be above 95.

Is there a membership level that costs a couple of grand? I'm trident and it's about $600 pa

Can a person really get priority 1 or 2 with a $50 membership or is it just the usual online outrage?

One of the great things about our game is that it's still 'the people's game', regardless of Gill's control. We can sit next to oppo supporters and not expect to be beaten unconscious

I personally don't have a problem with all members having same time access online

They are still wondering why the microwave was not delivering the required tickets!

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
