Good. I hope they win. Better for us.

Port and Lons win... perfect.

Love it.

balls to Thursday night. I'll be on a flight back to Melbourne so will miss if Ralph is right.

Essendon look terrible.

(How did we lose to this rabble?)

Essendon are tough to watch.

Robotic and yet imprecise. A real shuffling zombie feeling.

Collingwood should already have put them down.

Tippa looks like he hit the retirement burgers early, he's huge

Poor fellas going to struggle if he has to come on for more than half of a quarter.

Crazy to think that next year will be 20 years since the Bombers won a final. And based on this season that seems unlikely to change.

Essendon are pathetic. Never bought into their success this year, defence couldn't hold a watermelon.

For Tippa's sake I hope he can run out the game.

Dear bombers

Would appreciate it if you could knock some of the pies players into next week

thanks

Terrible kick by the Weed there, was hoping he would do well with them.

Back to back 20 goal losses perhaps

Couple of black and white hammy actions would be nice

What's with the seatbelt sash on the Bombers jumper? Are they expecting another car crash performance?

I’m absolutely [censored] loving Sam Weidemans new haircut.

Also feeling a little relieved we traded him on.
Just does not work for him in so many ways. The game should be simple for a stay at home key forward.
Sam makes it look bloody tough.

Bombers are a bottom 4 side masquerading as a team on the cusp of finals. Have been absolutely woeful in the past month.

Wont happen. Mathew Lloyd is furious about how weak they are. Hes right. They beat us in the stupid Gather Round after we had a short break from WA. Theyve beaten mostly 10th to 18th ranked sides this season. Pathetic. They struggled against Eagles and Norff.

Essendon is hot garbage.

And what happened to the genius coach they acquired this season?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
