Then we [censored] the bed. Such a Melbourne thing to happen.

Nothing surer 😂

Lions just went from 130% to 125.2%.

Dees currently 1 game 1.5% behind.

Tomorrow is massive. Potential % boosters against the Roos and Hawks also.

Brisbane, in Bears colours and playing on their old ground turned in a Bears performance for the ages. Well done!

Tomorrow afternoon becomes so important now. Even a close win is fine if we belt North next week.

This seems too good to be true. All the results so far favouring us. We’ll win comfortably tomorrow and Essendon will be thoroughly humiliated and that’s a great footy weekend. ❤️💙

Happy Antonio Banderas GIF

Tomorrow now turns to being such a crucial and season defining game.

Win, and win by a few goals and we can easily slot into 3rd.

Remember, since 2000, no one has won the premiership finishing 4th..

[censored] I love footy!

at the moment - how good is FOOTBALL!

hopefully doesn't turn into 'football; it's a [censored] sport and i hate it' tomorrow

I must work out how to retrieve old posts.

If the Crows knock off Port I'm finding my 'we can still finish second at years end' post and requesting some serious adoration.

On the bright side should our worst fears happen and we lose, our weekend is all but over anyway…..

Hoping the Swans & Peptides absolutely spiflicate each other

Chris Scott: We're the danger.

Justin Longmuir: We're peaceful people, we make the danger disappear.

Lions loading?

Nah... they dont like travelling

My tipping is going really well !

I dont know, i kinda think finishing 4th and playing the pies first up at the G would be ok?? They look wobbly and we have beaten them already, so have the mental advantage.

If we finish 3rd we would play Port at Port right? We certainly didnt beat them and do seem to struggle over there. Last thing id want.

Let’s finish 2nd and play Port/Brisbane at home!

WWS, if we could finish second though, how good would it be to play Port at the G

Just need Adelaide to win and second spot is happening

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
