Bazball Pies v Carlscum ….. I’m torn🤮

Edited by Wodjathefirst

Four and twenties - tonight but they are overdue to lose one and I really want Carlton out of the finals race.

Cats - Draft picks won

Dogs - No Idea why

Lions - would love the Suns to get it done but they won't.

Done - as above

Port  - Come on the Crows.

Hawks - Get that win out of your system Hawks

Dees - Hmm fingers crossed the real Dees turn up.

North - but they are after the extra pick so they might throw this one.

As opposed to the team going for its fourth win on the trot?

I made the mistake of tuning into SEN this morning and hearing David King call Collingwood a dynasty and Nick Daicos is worth 2 million a year.

I'm typing this here, because I shouldn't have to shoulder the burden of this alone

Go Blues 🤮

Collingwood has their full list available and it's very strong, well balanced and experienced.

They have an excellent backline at least the equal of ours; they may not have the very top end talent of our midfield, but they bat measurably deeper; and their forward line is at least equal to ours.  The only area we are superior is in the ruck, but a serious question remains whether we can convert that advantage into a result.

There's a difference in method and that's the intangible come finals time.

Their time is now though with Pendlebury, Howe, Sidebottom, Cox, Elliott, Mihocek and Mitchell all north of 30yo.  There's a Geelong 2022 feeling in the air for me.

I just have this feeling that Carlton will win tonight.

same here mate but Sam Walsh is stopping me from putting too hard on it

Blues go on these runs and are hard to stop. If Cripps, Cerra etc are fit they’ll put in a show

  • POSTGAME: Essendon

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
