Anyone know of the best way to watch in Singapore? Assuming I won't be able to get out to watch it.

I have Foxtel but guessing the app won't work there.

Vpn and Foxtel app can be more trouble than it's worth, as others have mentioned watch AFL app is the way to go. Works well.  pay for the match and it will be the least stressful.

Agree.

Petty out

Tomlinson in

Petty is clearly not right and has been subbed off injured two weeks running. Tomlinson had a career best game before being dropped and has been slaughtering it in the VFL.

Clicking like on this felt like I was signing a petition to get him in

Yep, it's the only way.

Despite the impact it deserves an easy three. You can't go around taking swings at people even if you are weak as....

There's a lot to be sorted before finals .

First off let me make one thing easier.

Bbb stays. He hasn't killed it but has shown glimpses of his old form. Some excellent leads and marks. He's not bad in the contest either and his height and leap are a worry for every teams best defender.

Kozzie stays. Didn't kill it either but still kicked three very good goals. Getting him in the middle early helps. I say we rotate Kozzie and Trac.

Speaking of our new fwd, Trac is killing it there. Eight goals in two weeks. Well done Goody

Our fwd mix....Grundy or Jvr?

Does it have to be so black and white? What about Smith?

Clearly Jvr or Grundy have to help Max out in the ruck.  Can we play both?

We have been top heavy with smalls why not go the other way.

The real burning issue may be if Milks form continues. I mean someone has to step aside for Fritta.

Not sure if there is room for Smith. I do think he makes the perfect sub. Just needs to be used earlier.

On present form, I'm inclined to have a fwd line that includes Bbb, Milk, Grundy and Fritta ( get well soon)with Spargo and Jvr going out. I really hope Melksham can keep that form going. Not to take a potshot but he's struggled in the past. But gee he was moving around like he did when we picked him up.

Apologies to Jvr and Spargo but come finals I want two talls in Bbb and Grundy. Two mediums in Melksham and Fritta.

As for crumbing, Kozzie, Nibbler, Viney and Trac have this covered.

Feel sorry for Jvr and Chandler who have really stepped up this year. And apologies to Spargo. Also think Smith is unlucky but he certainly makes the best sub choice than the others.

Yep...its a different ball game.

I really rate Adelaide. They have a good list and are building nicely. They move the ball very quickly and have a plethora of excellent forwards.
They will come out breathing fire as they’re under the pump to win to keep their finals hopes alive.
They also have Burgess who knows a thing or two about us.

We're talking about the same mob that played Sat ??

They play better at home....and they managed a whole 2 snags after the big break.

Ill be very surprised if they get close ...

These are the teams we have struggled to put away. Teams like giants. Having said that, Crows haven't faired well across their border and at this stage of the season we really need to come out smash them. We are six rounds from finals ...fourth v twelfth.

No excuses for this one. Need to build our momentum and have a convincing win.

I think having Adelaide straight after Brisbane is good, two of the highest scoring, attacking teams. Hopefully we can take "learnings" from Q2 & 3 vs Brisbane.

It's still a trap game so we need to be on to record a victory this week.

Chandler is fighting young Taj for a spot not Spargo.

We are presently going one tall short in the forward line. When that tall returns whoever he is that's when things get interesting

Still think Joel Smith can play an important role for us in the forward line.

Adelaide scare me. Their forward line when firing is one of the best and impossible to stop. I’m glad we are playing them in melb. They will win a flag in the next 5 years. I am feeling confident that we will build to finals and beat Adelaide in the process.

Would like to see chandler back in. Spargo rested, if someone is capable of playing his role. I have no idea if anyone can. It seems we supporters have no idea what metrics are used for spargo or anb. Maybe smith over Tomlinson for this game. Adelaide’s forward line is athletic. Smith is athletic.

My question - is glimpses enough?

IMO he is probably our weakest link in terms of contest (chasing, tackling, spoiling opposition intercept marks)

Well I think we will find out very soon.

Not sure it would be wise to go into a final, with only 1 ruckman and a 19 year old kid who isn’t quite AFL ready, as your main ruck backup.
What a disaster it would be if Max went off in the first quarter. Also, imagine how the opposition would target Max if we had no recognised ruckman as a backup.

I’ve just returned.

From Singapore. Try Penny Black, a bar at Boat Quay, on the river near the Raffles Place MRT. I watched our game against GWS there … unfortunately.

@joeboy v saints. Spargo - didn’t justify selection

@joeboy v Lions  Spargo - a nothing game
@Fat Tony Spargo is a liability in the air due to size and doesn’t offer enough in other areas IMO.

@Maldonboy38 Spargo - his output has been limited, error-riddled and lacks  impact.

@dazzledavey36 Spargo for me, he has to go. Has been a liability for the past 2 weeks.

@At the break of GawnIf it wasn’t for Spargo’s poor game, I’d almost suggest Chandler in for AnB.

Hi all. The above represents most peoples view.  I like Charlie.  I have met him a few times.  My view is that he’s not delivering and we cannot have passengers.  It’s part of being ruthless. Like the Grundy decision.  I’d rather roll the dice over the next fortnight and bring AMW in, or debut Howes or bring Chandler back in. I watched the game again yesterday afternoon and our lack of inside 50s tackles was again disappointing.  Just an opinion.

I must’ve missed the poll. There was one conducted, right?

Adelaide being poor away from home does not enter my consideration in this game.

If we don't turn up we will be beaten. I don't know how many times we need to have a comforting stat disproven to know that it can be danger. Whether it's playing GWS off a bye, best 4th quarters going into the last against Port, most accurate team after 8 weeks or whatever, it all means toss unless we actually turn up.

Structure is important imo and he gives us that.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
