A day early but this game at Casey’s fortress should be a great curtain raiser for the Kings Birthday clash.

Casey coming off a heart stopping 1 point win clash with Collingwood VFL who thrashed the Northern Bullants last week.

It would be a better curtain raiser if it was a curtain raiser.

I watched most of Collingwood's VFL win last week and wasn't impressed. I don't know who is in or out of the Casey team but I am expecting a good win.

Very interesting ladder in the VFL at the moment. Will have ramifications when finals arrive. First week of VFL finals, teams 1-6 have a bye. So probably casey. If Casey are in top 4 and win, another bye. So may make life interesting for borderline firsts players trying for selection.

I know there is probably lots of logistical reason why this game couldn't be on the Monday, but it would have been great if it was on at Vic Park, or the Glass House at say 11am so fans could go prior to the AFL game. I def would.

The commentator last week said he was a week away.

yes

On another note we seem to have had few games at any of the inner city traditional grounds. A trip to Casey is okay but a day out at Port, Coburg, Preston etc is good as well

CASEY DEMONS vs COLLINGWOOD

Sunday 11 June, 1:05pm, Casey Fields
Head-to-head: Casey Demons 17-5. At Casey Fields: Casey Demons 8-3. Streak: Casey Demons 5

Teams for Casey Demons vs Collingwood to be released from 5:00pm on Saturday, June 10

Not to mention the emergencies required for the main game.

Good to see Dunstan in.

Gets plenty of ball, and his leadership is important at this level.

What ever did happen to Buntine as a footballer, showed promise at GWS then just barely getting a game?

My tip - Emergencies will be J. Jordon B. Laurie J. Schache T. Woewoedin with two players held back for Monday.

Maybe Melksham?

Jordon should be sub and Melksham provides some flexibility, could go forward or be sub if Jordon is required in the 22.

There's an instagram post with BBB and a bandage on his knee. Also seems he had a compression bandage on his leg before the photo. Hopefully he hasn't needed a clean out

Interesting, @DeeSpencer was so hell bent that Tomlinson would be dropped for Hibberd against the pies because his thinking was that Hibberd could still play the 3rd tall defender lol..

Tomlinson not even named for Casey..

Makes sense with Petty being shifted Pre season to the Forward line.

Seen the writing on the wall.

Both a tactical and a necessity at the end of the day.

Sad news.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
