Are posters here unaware how horrific Sydney’s current injury list is? They’re missing an entire spine and more of talls. They’re not just rubbish, they have half a team missing. Off the top of my head they’re missing

Rampey

T Mccartin

P Mccartin

Hickey

Buddy

Amarty

Reid

Take away the Full back, centre half back, third tall defender, ruckman, centre half forward, tall forward/second ruck and full forward out of any team and they’ll capitulate. Given their injury list, tonight’s belting is completely expected and until they get some talls back the Swans are in for a world of pain.

This is making our win over Sydney look meh

Don’t agree with that, swans came to play that day, and didn’t have the injuries they currently have.

Bitter but optimistic, you are the Sir Les Patterson of Demonland

Vale Barry Humphries.

Ok so Sydney not a contender this year.

Who's left?

Collingwood and..

Linghy trying to talk this last quarter up 🤣

Hatred for the cats continues..can someone explain how we are playing then 2 years in a row at their home ground???? Is there no integrity left in this marketing fixture the afl call a draw

Buddy’s finished and Amartey is a kid he’s played 17 games. When we played them they had all of those players bar Hickey and we had no Gawn or Kossie (TMac also out but not best 22 atm).
Collingwood has its share of injuries, Swans aren’t alone.

They’re currently missing the second most games through injury in the league. I just find it humorous that some on here are writing them off in round 6 when they’ve got an enormous injury list at present. Not sure if it’s an over reaction or a lack of knowledge about other teams.
They’re still in the 8 and will likely finish top 4-6 still even with this poor run of health.

We belted them when they had a healthier list. Nothing should be taken away from that win. We were simply too good!

I think 13 of the last 17 home and away games matchups have been at the Cattery.

Turns out the AFL does have a mercy rule. The leading side must only kick behinds in the final quarter.

Still could blow out some more.

So let me get this straight. This is ANZAC round but not all teams are required to wear a ANZAC jumper.

Or is it only for the home teams?

I know they have injuries but Sydney only scored 3 behinds after half time. They still had good players out there to do better.

It’s absolutely unbelievable how the afl continue  to ignore any semblance of a home & away competition

Sydney's missing too many from the same areas - key defenders (McCartin, McCartin, Rampe) and key forward (Franklin, Amartey, Reid).

It's much harder to cover those sorts of players, particularly when they're all out at once. Clearly their depth is poor, but it's a tough ask.

Our win against them was against a vastly superior version of them, and deserves far more credit than Geelong's win tonight IMO.
