Off course, thank you Ethan - I'm just not woke up enough.

Walking around the mean streets of Adelaide I feel like I’ve seen a lot more Essendon paraphernalia wearing people than Dees.

Apparently it is given away in prison.

Agree.

One of the biggest myths in footy is wet weather is an equaliser.

Teams with good skills, like we have shown this season, are advantaged in the wet over teams with poor skills because generally good skill is a function of good technique and good technique stands up better in wet condtions (and when windy too for that matter, not to mention pressure).

I'd add we are a contested ball team, which is another advantage we bring into this match as wet weather usually means lots of ground balls.

All that said, we could luck out and miss any heavy rain. radar look ok and the heavy rain and thunderstorms are not forecast to hit until the evening

I reckon the wet weather being an equaliser thing is a throw back to the days when rain would make the ground muddy. Now it just makes the ground an ice rink.

Woke is not a term I would associate with you BBB

That's an excellent hypothesis- you are probably correct.

That said I recall many dees losses in the 70s in super muddy conditions.

Who cares, just do it!

Plenty of Dees scarves in evidence by the Torrens. Enjoyed a quick chat with Mitchell Starc and Alyssa Healy who were walking past on their way to Travis Head’s wedding! Good cricketer with a bad choice of footy teams - GWS FFS.

It would be beyond our control if it's still raining cats and hounds and poor Ben Brown suffers a mild hammy strain during the warm-up and would need to be replaced in the starting 22.

A sudden tummy upset would provide an improved opportunity for camouflage. We're playing the 'Drugs, so it might also be contagious. Slip JJ into the forward line...

what time is our game please? I'm confused - is it 4.10 Adelaide time or Melbourne time?

10 years ago, they're a little bit behind in Adelaide.

PS. Spoiler alert, we won the 2023-24-25-25-27 premierships breaking the four in a row record.

That would explain why Pat Cummins has been seen in Adelaide. Didn't think it was for the footy even though they did attend

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
