We'll see.

I'm waiting for the odds to drift a bit, and when they do i'm going to back them to miss the 8.

Will help me enjoy their losses even more.

None of us can stand the Filth. But based on 2022 and one game in 2023, they are light years ahead of 12 other teams (at least). It's an awful reality with which we all have the come to grips with at sometime.

Too much ‘melb’ in above table.

It’s because we won so many flags….

I wonder who the photo is of on the front of the North players jumpers?

The pies remind me of the Dees in 2021. Just can’t hate that footy. Taking the game on and backing your skills. Not overcoached. Not much stilted play.

And they made Geelong look old and slow.

Plus an unwavering belief they can win. Always. No matter what. That belief won us a flag in 2021 (plus obvious talent). It’s very powerful and very hard to stop!

Before Thursday nights game I though only 4/5 clubs could win it, after that game it was confirmed.

Can't hate it at all it's great to watch. I just would like it to politely go away.

Hunt in those horrible colours is really upsetting. Hope he has a great career moving forward. Always loved him at the Dees!

Norf look a lot less incompetent than previously. At least they move the ball with some logic and purpose.

We tried moving him forward @Jaded No More. Mixed results.

Kudos to the umps. A play on for kick not travelled far enough (should have called a zillion last night but didn't) and a holding the ball for one those "oh [censored], I'm surrounded and no way out ... I'll lie on the ground and ump will call for a ball up" situations.

How well are the AFL going with the colours the umpires are wearing in round one. I fully expect them to be wearing red , blue and a little white tonight.

Losing to North... must be tough being an Eagles supporter these days.

Just amazing how they have bottomed out

It’s what happens when a group becomes comfortable and no one pushes to change the status quo.

Long season ahead for the eagles. very stodgy ball movement.

north should be at least 2 goals further ahead

The filth are much better than I thought they were.

to beat the premiers in the round 1. Bloody good effort. I hate saying that!

I can't help but think West Coast are gone.

Please make sure to find this post and stick in in my face when they come back and win.

West Coast still have some very good players on paper, and  I know it’s very early on but they look exactly like last year and don’t give a [censored] about their performances.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
