Which MFC players did he (and as an extension Collingwood's coaching panel) rate really highly? And which MFC players are actually much better and more important now that he understands their different roles and skills.

Ask him if he knew Pendlebury played basketball before footy!

But seriously please ask a few things.

Biggest difference in coaching style between the clubs.

Obviously Collingwood facilities are probably better than ours but how much difference does that make?

Did Collingwoods rapid rise come as a surprise last year?

Coaches and the players typically identify 3-4 key behaviours they want from the team for success. In 2021 we hear the players identified selflessness and being a better teammate as two examples.

What’s been identified this year by the players and coaching group?

…….. and aligned to Moe’s question, how does Brodie rate the ‘culture’ at Melbourne.   No need to ask him how it compares with C’wood (I think we probably know the answer to that!) but I’d every interested to hear his views on our culture, and any insights as to how he was ‘inducted’ to the Melbourne ‘way’.

Who does he least want to room with when they go to Brisbane in round 2 (ie biggest pest in the team)?

Wow! This is wonderful news to get an interview with Brodie Grundy so early! Well done!

I have a few questions for Brodie.

1) Has he done any research yet about the History of the Melbourne Football Club and past players that have worn the number #6 jumper? Such as Frank "Bluey" Adams and Glenn Lovett?

2) I understand he was aiming to play 300 AFL games (initially with Collingwood). Will Brodie be aiming to play 150 games for the Melbourne Football Club?

3) How has the goal kicking practice with Mark "Choco" Williams been going? Has Brodie noticed it helping himself or any of his new team mates at the Demons with their goal kicking accuracy?

What was it like to lose a grand final 😀

But more seriously. Most ruckman have a history of knee injuries. I'm assuming one of the reasons is the clash of knees at centre bounces. Grundy has had a PCL and other knee ailments over his career. Does he or the club have prevention techniques to stop the scourge of knee injuries to ruckmen?

What are the main differences that have stood out to him between Collingwood and Melbourne both in terms of game plan and off field?

We smashed them 2020 at the Gabba.

Honestly, I'd just put alot of it down to [censored] luck on our behalf that they've beat us in recient years:

2021, was just about our first loss of the season and we'd copped them the week Buckley was sacked;

2022 we got them at just about or lowest injury point on Queens  birthday and when our form started to dip through injuries and fatigue late season and we still nearly beat them.

Before that we were mostly just [censored], but I do remember a year we beat them convincingly Queens birthday during our horror years, when Gawn kicked a bag.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
