Does anyone have an answer to why you didn't nform this site and myself about the training today?

At the moment, I feel taken for granted. I need support, otherwise I will not post and you can get reports from another.

I turned up today with guess work and uncertainty. That could have been totally different, a little heads up would be appreciated.

The fact it was my first training for over 35 years might give you an indication as to how important you and other training watchers are to me and so many others on Demonland.

I, like others, attended because of the invitation relating to 10+ year members, and in my case oddly coinciding with a couple of hours free on Tuesday.  I have never looked at the website to see when training might be due to not generally being in a position to go anyway.

I hope to see you at training in the week before the Grand Final in this and the next few years.  I might be able to make a special effort to attend those.

Winners At Last posted a thread about it the week of April 6 which for some reason I can't seem to find. It may have been merged with another training thread and therefore lost in the wilderness.

I've been to one training session in 12 months so I'm really out of it when it comes to how these things are organised, it was billed as an 'exclusive viewing' for 10+ year members so I didn't know what to make of that either. I think in the past I've assumed that you're more cluey than me at deciphering the club's communication but have only recently learned that most of your efforts come from good old guesswork. Short answer is I just assumed you would have known.

I'm getting more familiar with how you work though and if I or others here can do anything to support your efforts in bringing us these brilliant reports then we're more than happy to help out. We love your training reports Kev and appreciate everything you do from the bottom of our hearts.

Sorry Kev! While the invitation from the club to attend training was a very welcome one it was quite ambiguous with very little detail other than what time to be there and that there'd be free coffee and a briefing from the higher-ups. It sounded like it could potentially be a more formal thing with only a few members given the 'invitation' aspect so I didn't even bring my kids (even though they're on school holidays) as I thought they wouldn't be allowed given they aren't 10 year members (literally had my membership card ready if they were going to check!). Maybe silly on my part as it turned out to be a very casual affair and essentially open to anyone who wanted to be there.

I travelled out to Casey Fields today with my daughter and two grand kids for the MFC kids Clinic. My first trip out there 1.5 hrs each way But very impressed with the facilities the organisation of the clinic, player and staff involvement and the large number of kids and parents in attendance. The kids got to mix with the players and have a lot of fun with like minded kids of their own age as children were split up into similar age groups. When the clinic concluded we were lined up along the fence line with the kids and all players involved came along from both ends and signed their autographs and posed for photos, etc, which took a long time. clinic started at two and it finished at 4:30, I felt very proud of our player group for giving up so much time for their fans. The sun shone for us and my two left feeling very happy with themselves. My only complaint was that there were no famous bacon and egg rolls, so had a hot dog and coffee instead. Well done MFC.!!!!

Was in attendance with my kids. The players were so patient as they walked the boundary signing jumpers, footballs, mini figures, body parts (few heads and hands signed) and posing for photographs. A special mention to Fritsch who was second last to leave the field (about 20 minutes after all other players) and big Max who was out for about a further 30 minutes after Fritsch was done. He did it all with such enthusiasm and greeted every kid in a genuine way. He is a special guy and I can see why he is loved by so many. An excellent event to keep the next generation of members enthused and hopefully committed!

Talked to a MFC volunteer last night.

He tells me they are training on Gosch's paddock, Wednesday and Friday. He didn't give me a time.

Possibly, Wednesday at 11.30 am (they have been recently coming out at this time after the morning review), and Friday captain's run at 9.30 am. No training out at Casey because  of the quick turn around.

A good chance (guessing) the training schedule for this week is:

Monday, Gosch's at 11.30 am.

Wednesday, Casey at 9.30 am for a main session.

A captain's run Friday, on the Gold Coast.

Thanks for the info, I do attend and report when I can but I do live in Ballarat and trying to get to a 30min training session appears pointless.

All the sessions on Gosch's have been very short, this season.

Players make themselves available for selfies and signatures.

The main training, where the sims occur, patterns of play can be interpreted and the players go into their associated lines, are all at Casey (which is closed to the public). It is unfortunate for those interested in observing proper/full session.

Noticed Oliver on Gosch's as I walked into the game today. Clayton was running and kicking with a trainer.

Working his way all over the paddock.

Good signs I reckon.

No one out on Gosch's this morning.

I assume they have a longish weekend off.

Trac said in his interview they are back tomorrow I think.

Ollie wants to beat The Filth. It's like putting antiseptic on a wound.

At the end of the game, JJ was running laps, and Oliver and Woewodin were doing some running, loading and ball work in the middle of the "G".

Great signs, Oliver must have been close. I imagine he was up in the coaches box learning some finer points of the KB game.

Great that we were able to win without him but Clarry will be (hopefully) a big inclusion for the annual trip to Geelong.
I presume that JJ was topping up his kms after sitting out the first 3/4, and Woey being held over emergency thus without VFL time was also making up his loading.
Good to see such a professionally run outfit.

Had a wander down to Gosch's at around 11.30 am. No MFC team was there. Perhaps they have changed things up this week.

They have gone to see a reiki healer to get rid of the bad juju around goals

I think I heard that Goody felt our game was in such good order- that he decided for the rest of the H&A season, we’d just play games and skip training.

I think I heard that Goody felt the pre-game overnight stay at Geelong was such a success that they're all now at the Quest Docklands Apartments and will stay there until 90 minutes before game time.

Thanks Kev greatly appreciated hopefully Mark Williams brings the “strap” with him this week to goal kicking. To be honest it would be hard to miss the goals 75% of the time god help the opposition if we ever get our eye in again.!!!

See, that's the tease that's very possibly only a quarter away.

It's a bit of a struggle, but I'm keeping the flicker alive. Here's to roaring flames!

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
