2023 Injury List

Plates in feet are rarely "minor" .... perhaps a little less so if it is an ankle.

So no inside leaks as to which it is?

Is it the same foot that kept him out at the start of the season? 😠

She’s already posted yesterday that he’s going for surgery today and it’s serious but potentially not season ending.

I must have missed it, cheers @Jaded No More

'potentially not season ending' is something as I was bracing myself for 'potentially career threatening'.

Me too, but @WalkingCivilWar said it might not be season ending, which means it's definitely not career threatening.

Although it might be the sort of injury that hampers him for a long time to come, especially if it's foot related, which we know is a persistent [censored].

That's what I'm thinking. Like it could be something you look back to and notice how he moved differently before it. Hope not, all we can do is hope not.

Sounds like syndesmosis

They insert a plate for syndesmosis?

My understanding, perhaps flawed, is that a syndesmosis injury gets screwed, not plated.

Sorry I missed that part.

Rough guess and say Navicular.

OMFG these diagnosis are getting worse and worse.

Navicular is 12 months is it not? How could he possibly play again this year if it's a navicular?

I am going to wait for a real update before I hyperventilate.

No doubt the club's injury report will be "foot - TBC"

I'm literally just spit balling. I'd just wait for the doctors report lol

I wish the club would understand how much their supporters stress about these sorts of things.

Not to give us any sort of update three days out from the incident is pretty poor communication back to those that give up their hard earned for this football club.

Put him in cotton wool and get him ready for next year.

Move Kozzy into his role and give the kid a role to play as he is as lost as the city of Atlantis.

There are many other factors we need to get right to win a flag other than Fritta. He won’t be the difference either way and that foot hasn’t been right all year.

Ouch. Fritsch is done if it’s needing a plate. He’s the only bloke who can kick straight!!

Yep..literally the only player we have who can kick straight consistently. FML. 5.15 might look like the good old days soon.  he's going to be a massive loss.

a thought out of left field

I wonder how disco would go up forward. He's just languishing in the magoos because our back spots are so tight.

he's a great kick, mark and interceptor. If he played like a defender in the backline, he'd just have to mark, turn around a and kick goals - lol

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
