Double-barrelled surnames are annoying to shout out at a game. I’m gunna call him TWO DADS

let's make it "two sheds jackson" in memory of a noted demonlander

and let's hope he's two-times as good a ruck as that other jackson emigre

This makes our drafting of Finn Emile-Brennan interesting as we no longer have a B rookie spot.

So do we think he will go around pick 37 or do we not intend to take.  Of course we could swap in a late pick.

Intriguing.

Edit: correction of pick 47 should have been pick 37.

The big question is how many Category B rookies is a club permitted to have on its list at any one time?

I would hope the answer is three as otherwise the club would be precluded from picking Finn Emile-Brennan as a Category B rookie if the limit was two per club.

In addition to these six rookie-listed players, each club can include up to three additional players (now referred to as Category B rookies) on its Rookie List provided the player either:

Looks like he does not mind a bit of body contact and has well developed body shape.

Hope he turns out better than our other basket product Aaron Bradtke who looked ok but did not like body contact.

I have a vague recollection that the B Rookie list was reduced from 3 to 2 when the overall list sizes were cut in 2020 due to covid and sal cap reductions.  Could be wrong.

He’s a WA boy so watch out for the go home factor in a couple of year’s time.

Did you know Scott Pendlebury has one?

Has he played any football like having a kick in the backyard?

He's from Victoria and has only been in WA for a couple of years.  From the article:

"Another benefit for Farris-White, who will be moving across the country in the coming weeks, is the fact he grew up locally."

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
