It irritates me to see players that have clearly practised or been taught how to milk frees

Prime example. Being tackled from behind while standing and just falling forwards on purpose to draw an in the back

saw a tackle on Bolton from behind and immediately shrugged both shoulders making the tackle high, umps didn't get sucked in, big win for footy

Really feel for any of these boys retiring and what they went through.

Which is why I respect both Melk and Hibbo.
Both had the gonads to leave.

The theme of today's games seems not be not always getting what you want but getting what you need.

Rohan looks a bit proppy and maybe has injured his leg.

He’s no big loss. Not exactly known for his finals performances 😂

Rutten. All class.  Composed and definitely in the Goodwin mould imv.

But Jobe Watson has the “gut instinct” that he going to get sacked.

Bombers are a mess !!!

Rutten should walk. I know he won’t because he deserves a pay out, but FMD who would turn up to that dump of a workplace?
Pathetic treatment from Essendon. They really only know how to cuddle their own. If your name isn’t Sheedy or Hird, you can go to hell.

West Coast in passing 44 points has ensured that our defence has has the least total points scored against them this year.

This is important as the premiers last year were in the same position after the end of the home and away season.

And given the teams we played is saying even more for that achievement

This is a look of a bloke that's already been told he's sacked.. Seriously feel for him, the treatment alone had been utterly pathetic.

Absolute disgraced of an organisation is Essendon.

I'm glad Hurley retired. He was always one of those strong players that could dominate.

I'm just going to put it out there. I hope Hawthorn win today so the dogs can't get even a chance to be 8th.

Also I hope Carlton win so the pies can't get anywhere near the top 4

Yes, would be funny if the Dogs get done today. I was wanting a Carlton win, but on second thought we get to have a crack at the Pies in a QF if they win and Sydney lose.

Darcy Fogarty is an absolute jet. Great hands, brilliant kick.

Sounds like she's observed him at the urinal in the bathroom of the old members stand.

A year ago he was on the nose.

Farewelling retiring players is something footy clubs do so well these days. Great scenes at the MCG and Adelaide Oval last night for two people who thoroughly deserved to be sent off in style.

I didn't appreciate until this week just how serious Michael Hurley's injury was and Robbie Gray is right up there with favourite non MFC players.

Will be watching the Pies v blues game.

I think the latter may win.

I hope they do. That hope is the least I can do following our win that gutted all of their supporters.

Besides I want Cwood's confidence taken down a few pegs going into finals.

Walsh is a late out for Carlton, sadly helping the Filth.

Far out!

Ima be at the match today cheering on not Sydney with a group of DA-ers. We’ll be as loud today as we are at our own games. Well, almost.
GO SAINTS!!! ❤️🖤 🤍

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
