Cox has destroyed us twice against us in 2018 (5 goals!) and this year's QBDAY.

Quite happy for him to be omitted.

Bit of squaring up to do with this [censored]$%

No change. Best team defence for the year.

Weideman featured pretty well in goal assists for us against Freo and I also think Melksham will be a big factor. Adds that blend of toughness on the forward line with his best mate in the BP as a present for gin in a pan.

They might have some big INS... grundy and Howe.

Howe played this week ?

Brown and Harmes both tests.  Hopefully Brown is not selected unless his knee is right and he can jump

How? He had 1 kick for a goal. His throw (handball) would be classified as a goal assist, but that's where it ends.

Isn’t there a mandatory 12-day break for concussion? How can Harmesy be a consideration?

If Ben Brown is fit he plays but van Rooyen must be the next in line. Can't play Weid after a one possession game.

B: Lever, May, Hibberd

HB: Hunt, Petty, Salem

C: Langdon, Brayshaw, Jordon

HF: Petracca, Gawn, Neal-Bullen

F: Fritsch, B.Brown, Pickett

FOLL: Jackson, Oliver, Viney

IC: Rivers, Sparrow, Spargo, Melksham

SUB: Harmes

I will be surprised if Brown plays and I expect Sam to play. Put simply there is no one else. JVR played well but against the worst team in comp.

Do you reckon he's going to get to play this week because I do.

Only because there's no one else

What's  more I reckon he's going to play finals

I don't know if Harmes should come straight back in to the team but I do know that he's a proven finals player and if we do call on him he will give us his everything and we have nothing to worry about.

Is Harmes walk up best 22 anymore? I actually rated the balance of the team more with Hunt breaking some lines off HBF and Gus in the middle. Looked quite potent.

I agree totally. Although Hunt can be a little fumbly at times, his presence in the side appeared to give us that extra dimension and potency. Having said that, the side just generally played better so everyone looks a bit more potent.

C’mon, man!

Aside from the septic-tank having a day out, how did Collingwood get us last time?

My anger and IPA-consumption conveniently blocked the game from memory.

They swooped on our undermanned defence and the fact Gawn was on one leg. It’s actually as simple as that. We were trying to plug holes. We couldn’t. We were in control of the game until half-time. After that, they slowly pegged it back, due largely to Cox having no opponent and doing it at both ends of the ground. He won’t be afforded that luxury this time.

Out Neil Bullen for  Harmes if BBB available Weid also I would liker to find a position For Bowey if Melk slips he is the one we must keep Angus in the Centre and instruct Sparrow to use the Ball Better he is a very good Player.

I also observed that the Yank did Not shake Maxes hand after the LAST Game that should be some motivation to seek revenge

May out, Petty on and off injured, Max injured should've been subbed out but Turner was concussed so was subbed out instead. We kept bombing it straight down the throats of Cox and Moore.

Hope so! Big for us!

They'll be 2 men down.

Grundy back in would really upset the balance they have right now!

We here's hoping.

BB (even if not 100%) is better than Weid. BB only needs 2 possessions to make a difference. No other changes.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
