I'm too tired, do we want the Dogs to win or Cats?

Dogs this week, and sainters next

Have the boundary umpires been told to interpret the ‘vibe’ the last few weeks? Balls that are a metre out not getting called.

This thread is now becoming unhinged.

Threads unravel: doors unhinge (both Chris and Majak maybe).

Classy move at Geelong the way they put all the opposition supporters in the only open air part of the ground, with the worst visibility at any AFL ground.

Why are we all subsidising that ground again?

Right? And they only allocate 500 - 1000 seats for opposition supporters (we were actually given less than 500). Why are they allowed to do this? And they charge Geelong members $10 for parking and everyone else is charged $15. Again, who allows this? AND they relegate opposition cheer squads to a shi*tty spot on the wing, right by the race where it’s criminally cold AND (somebody slap me) their ground staff are downright rude to our banner crew and sweet af to their own. I could go on and on.

Hawkins LOLZZZZZZ

Ha ha Hawkins u clown

Isn't Caleb Daniel supposed to be good? Or has he been doing a mini Kent Kingsley on us this entire time? Geelongs best player so far.

This game’s degenerated into a cluster-[censored] of skill errors. I love it!

Umps now protecting Bontempelli with shepherds. Bews was not happy with the maggot

Dissent hasn’t that gone out the window Bews gobbed the ump ignored. Hawkins miss was a highlight. Commentators already making excuses for Cats their distracted by Duckwood 350th game. They are the media darlings can do no wrong.

It’s a horrible experience for any supporter from another team. For a stadium that’s 60-90 minutes drive for 5 million people I have no idea why the AFL continues to allow them to cater purely for their members.

Look at the experience of Optus, The Gabba, The Adelaide Oval, or the SCG. Why is the closest out of Melbourne experience so absolutely dreadful?

Last Geelong goal was the result of a blatant push in the back.

The cats forwards push their opponents in the back, head first into marking packs.

It's a dangerous grubby practice and the never get penalised.

Meanwhile WTF is happening in Adelaide?!?

The Channel 7 graphics department must have borrowed some 3’s from the other channels to be able to show the age of so many of these Geelong players. My word they are old. It’s insane.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
