Most if not all of our competitors have games they should win.

Not a time to slip up in the West

Cats v Dogs and Tigers v Lions are perhaps the close ones.

Wouldn't it be nice for Port to roll the Pies

I smell some upsets.

I reckon the Port will roll the pies. They are asking for a team to give them a good ol spanking. The question is how will they respond the following week...which is us.

Going by the Doggies performance, id expect them to challenge the Cats ball movement, but you just cannot see how they hold up defensively. If the game goes to a shoot out, then it maybe close. But given its Duckwood's 350th you can just see the AFL giving him a few cheapies.

Don't care about the other games tbh

After last week's disastrous results, we're due one or two non MFC games go our way.

We're ostensibly in the finals if Richmond lose this week, even if we lose tonight.

St Kilda will lose at least once to Geelong, Brisbane or Sydney so there's no way they'll be displacing us from the finals.

Port, Crows, Dogs and Richmond wins would help greatly.

Unless you place a massive priority on finishing 1st and winning the minor premiership (and potentially being awarded the Friday Night prelim) rather than finishing second and still having 2 MCG home finals on route to a potential GF, I’m actually hoping Geelong beat the Dogs tonight.

The nauseating over celebration of the Dogs beating us last week is enough to hope Geelong can go some way in ending their season tomorrow.

It’s the Sydney’s, Collingwood's and Brisbane’s that are our main threat for top 2, and they’re the teams we need to lose more so than Geelong who will finish top 2 regardless with their soft finish and strong percentage.

Doggies will be desperate in trying to make finals, so would love them to try and run the Cats off their feet and hit the bodies hard, it will all add up come the end of the year, plus the Cats won’t keep winning forever.

Would also like to see another Oscar-worthy sook from Bevo.

I'm hoping the Pies get over Port this weekend.
Will make next weeks game huge and we can put the Pies to the sword in front of everyone.

This thread is the best after we open the round with a mighty victory.

Yep,  vomitous to admit it but Pies winning suits us perfectly. Theyre pretenders who have been gifted a soft H & A fixture. They will be brimming with misplaced confidence. They'll be pre-occupied with us after last nights win. Port might win it. Looking forward to mangling them next week.

GO PORT!!!

please please please can Port keep this going. So sick of the poxy pies pulling wins out of their [censored]

I hope Port will go on and absolutely shizen all over the filth.

Don't worry about Collingwood, they are just lucky. Luck doesn't win you finals.

Love the commentary combo for this Port vs. Pies match: Howie, Nick Riewoldt, Bucks and Cam Mooney. Very listenable.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
