Tigers are home at Marvel tonight. Last time they were the home team there Dimma wasn’t too pleased, the Tiger Army doesn’t like travelling over to Marvel. Looking forward to his post-match press conference should the Tigers lose.
In other games I’d like to see the Suns upset the Lions.

Lambert, Lynch and Dusty out. Freo should get it done even without Lobb

Port haven’t lost at home since round 4 to us. They are a massive chance to beat the Cats

Any danger of Collingwood losing a game anytime before Sep 24?

Carlton have been gifted a % booster with all of GWS's outs, and the fact they're pretty woeful regardless.

Clearly the biggest result for us would be Port knocking off Geelong.

GC over Brisbane would be fantastic but won't happen.

One result that could go our way is Richmond knocking off Freo tonight for a bit of a top 4 breather for us.

Quite a few games for the top 7 to slip up on including our own.

I'd expect three losses for the top 7 (hopefully we're not one of them) which could see the ladder taking shape.

Wins by Richmond and Port are not impossible and they would be great for us

Excellent stat. Was not aware.

Port had a big win over Sydney the week after they (Swans) beat us so are capable at Adelaide Oval. But you couldn't bet against Geelong on their current form.

It would be nice for us if Essendon could get up in the clash of  Evil v More Evil (doesn't matter which is which, they're interchangeable). I have a sneaky feeling they will do it.

Collingwood has to lose one  FFS. Ginnivan is unwatchable.

Just thinking about Geelong makes me want to puke but they'll keep winning.

Who are the umps in Dees game.  Thats more significant than Naughton IN.

Three feral umpires and we're in trouble.

Confident Melb will get this.

Go Tigers, Suns and dare I say Port this weekend.

Sorry cant add the Bombers

Freo

Hawthorn

Sydney

Geelong

Bears

MFCSS

Carlton

Essendrug

Saints.

Fyfe looks exhausted before the bounce!

Probably best for us if the Tiges win, but I can't barrack for them. I really like the way Freo play and Fyffe is one of my all time favourite players to watch.

Freo with elite pressure so far

they are up for this one

Freo a good football team, bad away jumper.

Cracking game of footy. A lot of sprinting inside 50 which neither team will be able to maintain for 4 quarters.

some serious tackling in this game. Fyfe nailed just then and Munday has copped 2 bruising hits so far

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
