FMD !!!

I'll add to my above comment - for reasons of clarity.

Weid has had his chances but has shown nothing to inspire confidence.

However, having said said that, I hope he plays a blinder !!!!

And .....who knows ...... him being the number one ... the one and only KPF may be just the fillip he needs to get his [censored] into gear!!

Bit of deja vu there uncle!  Wish i had $100 for everytime i've read this about the Weid

Fair enough. I guess I have less faith in Weid firing, than I do in Benny rehabbing from a knee injury.

I think we will have to rely on Tracc as well as the Weid.

Should've rolled the JVR die against Port!  Never die wondering!

I don't. Except for the odd moment or match, sitings of our premiership form have been few and far between. Too many players down on form/injured/out. If we win more than one match in the finals I'll be pleasantly surprised.

We saved our absolute best for September last year. Why can't we do that again this year?

BB has been proppy since he limped off at half time in the Adelaide game. We've done well to manage him through the last few games. I don't know if I'm more worried about him missing or that Weid is taking his place.

OK Weid grab it now!!!!  Finals around the corner and a chance to get in the side and be there if we make it deep!

Going by the chatter about BBB this week, that he can't fully train and will always have a tender knee. (He isn't a Buddy.)

I think we need a stable forward line, going into the final series. If it functions well without him , I can see us not picking BBB.

He's performed better with a dickie knee than Weideman has produced in his whole career. BBB was very good last week. If Weid comes close to emulating what BBB does, I'll be shocked.

I’m not interested in whether Weid can kick a bag, but looking for him to hold his marks. No more dropped marks or double grabbers. Clunk it at the highest point/or bust the pack and allow Pickett and Spargo to go to work

Brown finally takes a few marks and now is out. Typical. Beginning to doubt if he can run a season

Eek...

Would have been happy with the Weideman/Brown combo but Weideman as the sole key forward doesn't fill me with much confidence at all unfortunately.

Agree, has to have a one grab mark.

I can also see ANB and Viney, taking some time deep in the forward area and getting some snaps, from the front and centre positioning under Weid.

BBB has been asked to do too much. Little wonder he couldn't get up. Our rucks were pathetic up forward last week. If they don't contribute again, can't see us winning.

Have some faith.

He is a big guy, gets lots of support from the club, has a good kick. Be great if we can get some ball into him quickly and allow him to get out back or some separation when on his lead.

A combo of Mitch Brown and either Tomlinso or Van Rooyen on the other hand!!

REALLY LAST CHANCE HOTEL FOR WEEDS I HAVE TO SAY

Time for the Weed to plant some roots!

I'd be more confident if they used Tomlinson back (the backline worked well with him last week) and brought Petty forward.  Petty's better than Weid, even forward.

Edited by Rob Mac......

Gawn just has to be played as a permanent forward for this game

Edited by Macca

I think Weideman will do better as the sole forward rather than alongside Brown. At least he will know it’s up to him to compete every time.

Time for the Weed to get high off his own supply!

Go well Sam.

The fast pace of matches at Marvel might help him. Coupled with the fact he will be the primary target in F50.

I was always sceptical of the multiverse theory Kev... until now!

Yes would much rather see this.  The Doggies have one of the shortest forward line ups.  No need for Petty down back this week if they bring Tomo as a late in (subject to Petty / team spending time training with him as a forward?).

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
