Is it just me, I feel exhausted by this trade period so far, as it appears that everyone has achieved their goals bar us. The Hunt trade for steak knives from the AFL left me feeling angry, Bedfords trade helped get Jacko deal over the line and we still didn’t crack into the top 10 ( for a Unicorn?) and we still haven’t completed the trade for Grundy. Now Weid has been dropped into the pan for what gain? And we are still trying to offload Thommo. I am hoping that Weid and Thommo will be player swaps to help ease my anxiety levels.!!!

Hunt wasn't a deal,  he left as a free agent.

Whilst I was not impressed with the Jackson trade, basically we will have traded out Jackson and Bedford  and got in Grundy and 2 first rounders.

If we get a third rounder for Weid that great for us, but if he does leave I think we have to hold Tommo as a tall back up

I think there’s 4 winners but it’s incredible that Port got GWS to pay the extras North needed. Like asking a mate to pay the stamp duty

best guess is that gw$ would rather bring in one elite talent that's 50-50 to go home than have two come in with the same odds

Let’s hope like hell that Lobb gets to Freo. With him and Logue gone they have few tall fwd options.

Death Ride FREO!

I’m not sold on this culturally. It’s reported Hawkins is on 300k in 2023. Wonder how he feels knowing a bloke that’s probably behind Menegola (who couldn’t get a game in the finals) is getting paid twice that to play in the VFL?

It is a culture test for sure.

This is just wrong and completely flies in the face of the AFL’s equalisation standing.

The Gold Coast deals are a blight on the AFL.

If I was Gil I'd be pretty annoyed that they have basically had to throw away picks and players after they were given pick packages not long ago.

That 'club' is an embarrassment to the game.

Wow. That’s the midfield gutted and a very very good goalkicker.  I’d say they are aiming already at Harley Reid or Ashton Moir in the ‘23 draft.

Hopefully they stay away from Nick Watson

There is an old saying the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, unfortunately Geelong get better whilst the rest of the competition tread water.

That Bowes deal is an absolute disgrace.

So, why weren't we involved?

Yes, that orgy was against god and nature! And the flyer has the WRONG ADDRESS 😡

I would not be too optimistic re Kozzie unless Dees relocate to Adelaide.

Kozzi!  Listen to me! I lived in Adelaide for  20 years or so and believe me, it's not all that great!

By June this year, I had moved back to the pastures of Heaven; yes, outside of Melbourne in the countryside but I assure you, being back in Victoria amongst life's options galore, it is comparatively restful, abundant, well-optioned, closer to the 'G, there are fewer 'whingers', the air is redolent and it feels like home should feel. Give it a year or two to settle into our paradise, as well. You bring us great traditions and abilities; please allow us to enjoy just one of these multiple, super attributes you possess at this point - your footballing prowess - and make the Dees your permanent home. South Aussie ain't got it.

Now that @Redleg I will agree with you is a corrupt deal.  The AFL should never have approved that.

AFL handing GC 900 first round draft picks, only for GC to cook their books and give away players and top 10 picks for free.

Seriously, how is this OK?

2019 draft: Geelong trade pick 27 for GC mid first round free pick.

2020 trade period: Geelong trade 3 first rounders  (2 of them barely) to GWS for Jeremy Cameron, including the GC pick (by this stage pick 15)

2020 draft: Geelong trade a future first for Max Holmes, stealing him from us. They wouldn’t have had a future first if they used it in the GWS trade. Ie. The suns trade the year previous freed up that pick

2021 trade: Cats trade for pick 7. Demons unable to trade up from pick 13 for what would’ve been an excellent target pick

In other words, the GC got benefits. The GC gave those benefits to the Cats. The Cats screw us.

DISGRACEFUL!

But only because we couldn't do it.
