Same last Friday against essendon.  Crazy

Tigers are looking ominous, but can they make it last for 4 quarters? Carlton will fade so the 4 goal buffer the Tigers now have will probably hold the Blues off.

Vossy working up the spittle as we speak.

Has anybody else noticed this fascination that Channel 7 has with featuring a close-up of the player who just kicked a goal shouting his celebration in such slow motion so that it looks like he is trying to catch flies with his mouth?

Sucked in Bolton.

Cant help but laugh when someone is in range and relatively straight in front and opts to snap around the body and it doesn’t come off.

Can't stand Tom Lynch, but the way he plays (apart from obvious thuggery) is the model of a power forward. Mobile, crashes pack after pack, works up the ground, repeat efforts. Constantly making an impact, even if it means he doesn't get a touch.

I just saw the vision of Saad having his eye poked.
Was that an accident?

lynch seemed to dig in

That kick to Curnow just now, and the Pies also executed one or two of those against us on Monday.  Perfectly weighted to the fat side lead.

Is there any chance we could bring some of that including leading into space on the fat side or pretty much directly in front as we witnessed just now?

Yep..this is what i was hoping we'd be seeing a modicum of from Benny this year 🤷‍♂️

Don’t think we’d beat either of these teams atm.  Got a lot of work to do, about 20% off where we need to be.

GO THE MIGHTY BLUES!!!

Sheeeeet, did I say that out loud???

I’m not angry, I’m just very, very disappointed.

In fairness to Carlton they are missing 7 first 22 players.

as opposed to us missing 2

tigers just missing Dusty

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
