joeboy 3,193 Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Gawn -our only winner Viney - old habits again Petracca - McCartin was better Oliver - many irrelevant possessions Brayshaw - loose, seemingly passionless Salem - excellent under circumstances Jordon - sound four quarters Langdon - was obviously restricted Jackson - overrated and underperforming Neal-Bullen - had little influence Bowey - reality has hit Harmes - a nothing game M Brown - not the panacea Spargo - had little involvement Fritsch - took most chances Lever - nothing without May Tomlinson - was surprisingly poor Sparrow - career worst performance Petty - others should follow Pickett - another poor effort B Brown - can’t be retained Hunt - Hibberd must replace 4 1 Quote

Sydee 4,684 Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Tomlinson - just too slow Trac - looks totally off Brown B - really quite embarrassing Max - did everything possible Salem - rusty but ok Harmes - not very effective Jackson - just a game Viney - tried very hard Lever - struggles without #1 Spargo - had little influence Brayshaw - not worst defender Bedford - better than BBB Oliver - tried but ineffective Langdon - still looked injured Bowey - becoming a worry Jordon - lacks the polish Hunt - stick to basics ANB - some good things Fritta - flashes of brilliance Sparrow - very costly errors Pickett - very rarely involved M Brown - not AFL player 1 Quote
waynewussell 6,976 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Well, some of these comments make it clear who opted for the comfort of the lounge chair last night! Jordon - 4 qtr contributor Pickett - excellent solo efforts Oliver - finds a way 5 1 Quote
waynewussell 6,976 Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Just had a laugh with my son (who also attended) about having a crisis meeting when we are top of the ladder! My spin is that we just got beaten by two late (dubious free kicks included!) goals by a potential top four team when we have injuries and out of form troops. We can afford to do some creative thinking. This is what we came up with in our morning after analysis. Jackson plays key forward (BBB to find form with Casey - a bit like last year! M Brown or Weid to the bench) Majak plays from the bench to give Max a rest when needed ( this could be as low as 45% ground time. Majak won't be embarrassed in the ruck contests!) Rivers in for Hunt (been steady/consistent but dropped off in the two losses when we were scrambling for backline cover) May comes in for Tomlinson (or Petty if he is injured). Salem, Harmes & Tomlinson will be better for the run. Hibberd not far away) We have become too predictable! Time to show we have a few new tricks up our sleeve. On yesterday's form, too soon for JVR (yes we also watched the entire Casey game). Turner close to a call-up. 2 1 Quote
