Andrew Mcleod and…?

It is not mandatory to love all of ones workmates.

Walker is worth considering

He still takes strong narks and kicks clutch goals

Comparing two players having a blue to a player with a history of making racist comments against indigenous players is a massive swing and a miss, even by your standards.

I’m Sure Steven May would sort out Mr Walker in 5 minutes, if he walked in the door….

He kicks Clutch goals, so it is worth considering

Regardless of poor character, we don't need a 30+ KPF.

If we want to trade, they should be 23-24 but it's more likely we head to the draft and pick up some young talent

What does this mean? What is May going to do?

You know what we can do for Steven, Kozzi, Deakyn, Toby, and AMW?

Live up to the words we are spouting and act in a way that values indigenous people and their contribution to the game.

And that doesn’t include recruiting a repeated racist and a bloke that cared more about his own reputation than an individual he abused by constructing a public apology with the victim as a prop.

So yeah, nah.

Would have to be Freo IMO. Or Sydney if Buddy has indicated he's retiring at years end.

Our mail is that Darcy Gardiner is almost a lock to Collingwood as a Free Agent and the Lions are the Club that is genuinely interested in Tex.

That makes sense.

The lions are definitely in the premiership window, so tbst fits.

And with the way they play, they need their tall forwards firing and bringing it down to their gun medium forwards.

In terms of talls, they've got some good ones. But for various reasons, they all have some questions marks about them.

At his best, Daniher is a star. But he is a game to game proposition, let alone season to season, in terms of consistency and staying fit and injury free.

Hipwood is a star too. But might take a while to get back after his acl, and is a little one dimensional, in that if he is not kicking goals he doesn't add much (though is a terrific field kick).

I rate Mcstay, he has good dukes and competes hard. But he is no star, and i thought I read he is maybe looking to leave.

Walker would slot into their forward line perfectly, and would love the quick way the lions move the ball into their 50 (creating lots of one on ones) and how direct they are.

I would be disappointed in the club if they went after Walker. We can’t talk about supporting our Aboriginal players then recruit someone who made a stupid racist comment.

I think we should chase McStay he is a Flemington straight better than Weid, and the Browns

As shown in yesterdays Casey game JVR is a long way off

After last night I would have him in a heartbeat. The problem is how many players around 23-24 can we poach, steal, lure or kidnap that would make an instant impact?

Very interesting Nev.

I'm actually not against the move. Gives JVR a chance to develop while we use TMac Brown & Walker short term.

There is no hiding from it now our forward half is a shambles atm

Yeah 100%. Don't know how much of a chance, Walker may decide he wants to stay at the Crows, but just heard the Dees were keen.

All good mate, I understand nothing is set in stone and lots of water to go under the bridge.

Thanks for the info.

I'm glad we're looking in to the issue of forward half representation.

I always knew TMac played a role but wowee have we fallen off a cliff dramatically without him.

Yeah for sure. Weid is the interesting watch for mine too. I reckon he was as good as gone earlier in the year, Goody seen enough, but with Daw, M.Brown and Jackson all quite possibly gone he probably stays but may depend on the Walker call.

Although only one game Weid didn't do too badly as the 2nd ruck vs the crows either.

Will be interesting to see how they throw the forward line together for the next 6 weeks

Wouldn't be the first time a business has sprouted empty rhetoric about supporting women, LGBTI people or Indigenous Australians and then acted in complete contradiction to the supposed values it champions.

I'd much prefer we chase a Larky, Ben King or a younger guy that won't have a corrosive impact on our culture, make a mockery of our off field values and be around for the next 8 or so years.

Given your high degree of moral feeling on this you'll be conflicted if he comes won't you?  What will you do?

Personally I believe in forgiveness and would welcome him so long as the indigenous boy were good with it.  It's their feelings that matter.  And boy he'd add to our team.

Pretty much everyone would, including the club, I reckon. There was goss we were looking into King before he re-signed, doesn't seem likely now though. I really really like Larkey, would love us to have a crack, but he's contracted until end of 2024, and given he's only just turned 24 we probably wouldn't be able to entice North with draft picks.

All that said, there's no reason we couldn't bring in Walker AND bring in another young key forward. We'll lose a few key talls this year anyway.

He made a mistake and does deserve a second chance.

If you could get Larkey or King or any other established KPF, then we wouldn’t be looking at Taylor.

I believe similarly. Being conflicted is to believe in something so that’s fine. I will always believe that he and the Crows woefully managed his apology however, no matter what colours he wear.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
