That goal could be very important, but we can't continue playing the same method or we've got no chance. We have to go quick, and use McNamara, Bannon, Hore, Paxman as handball links in a chain and try to get over the back or ping pong through them.

Hore’s ‘interaction’ with Marinoff has woken her up.  Go Kate.

This is why Adelaide have dominated this competition. They are do well drilled, disciplined, have such strong bodies & mark the ball cleanly.

Their list also hasn't been raided as much as we have had to cough up over the years.

She certainly won't chase her opponents.

I reckon Harris has some mental demons - she is afraid to go 100% when there's something on the line. She'll cannon into whoever is in her way in the H+A series, but come a final she goes into her shell.

Harris looks very disinterested.

She’s looked that way for a few weeks. Her second efforts remind me of weiderman on Thursday night… non existent

Harris needs to be a decoy, take the defenders with her & have hore or Bannan forward.

Still annoyed by Birch's undisciplined bump that helped them get there 1st goal.

Anyway we are still in this but Adelaide have cut off our corridor use really well. We just have to find other ways to goal

Doesn’t matter now but why take Bannan off with 50 secs to go until halftime. I would’ve left her on as she seems the only spark at the moment.

it's about to be - at least 5 players (including philips) going to the pear next season

they are SO STRONG in the contest then the way marinoff and hatchard are SO QUICK break to space - we can't keep up with em

I’d move Shelley Scott to deep forward to give a hand to Harris.
Scott has the strength and attitude to unsettle Crows backs.

Harris has 3-4 Crows on her every time ball goes forward, where are the 2-3 free Demons.

Someone lead left, right, short or out the back!

Crows stronger, but if Demons can be a bit smarter going forward they might get lucky.

The Crows are bigger, faster, stronger and cleaner. If they could kick straight this would be a wipeout

but they've given us a sniff. hopefully that goal inspires the team becuase we've been insipid so far

Go you good thing Alyssa! Here’s an idea…..at every secured possession = mark or free kick, put the big units (L. Pearce, Harris, Zanker) in the middle 35 metres up.. Kick it to them, with Bannan, McNamara, Goldy coming past for the feed or at the spill. No boundary possession stuff. Straight up the middle….bully the contest and up the middle again. Possessing the boundary and giving them time to set in defence isn’t ever gonna do it against the Crows. Ever. Only way is higher risk corridor footy. Umpiring horrendous btw. No favour either side, just bad.

That infuriated me, why take off one of your best with less than a minute to go??? Right after she’s kicked a goal?

I’d love to see Zanker tear the second half apart….

Chelsea Randall has carved her up in both Grand finals she has played on her. She is on Harris again so she may have got into Harris's head already.

Move it quicker to a fast leading Tayla (not static at home) and she can’t be triple teamed. Otherwise it’s pretty hard to fathom, as you say.

We need to find a way to limit the influence of Hatchard and Marinoff

Can't see it.
Done nothing all year.

I think we have to leave Harris in the guts and see if she just plays herself into the game for us.

Maybe move Lauren Pearce forward more often. And yep Bannon will win this for us if anyone can.

We are very lucky to still be in this but we've rolled Adelaide before like this.

Time to lift Dees. Get em up Daisy

Jessica Malboy thinks she's in the Matrix 😂

She's had such a sub standard year this year. She can be a real weapon for us in the past but she just seems off

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
