Looking at the interview with Michael Hibberd on the MFC site, noticed Kosi in the training footage, knee heavily strapped and walking with a limp! Not wishing to alarm, but would appreciate an update from anyone who has been at training.

Has had it most of the year and even last season. Assuming the strapping gives him some relief. Maybe even holds it all together. 😀

Terrible news for JJ. Missed out last year and played every game this year only to end up as the sub and now with a 4 week injury. Absolutely sucks.

Another foot injury 😕 so sad for the kid, seems like absolute tattslotto the outlook/prognosis for these injuries when it happens to a Demon.

His injury has gone very much under the radar, haven’t heard much about it.

Is it season ending?

touch and go, but probably

His foot got stood on playing for Casey the night after he was our Medical-sub. Initially thought to be ok but remained sore and recent scans showed a break. It will be very difficult to get it right in 4 weeks. Horrible timing and the worst luck.

Thanks for that, really feel for JJ, thought there was a couple of players ahead of him that could’ve been dropped, he’d had a pretty consistent season.

Very tough outcome for JJ and he played a ripping game for Casey as well. He is very stiff and robs us of some of our flexibility, thank goodness Hunt and Melk have both stood up at the pointy end of the season.

As crazy as it sounds I don't mind players on the fringe of our best 22 getting injured at this time of year. It is obviously devestating for them.

We don't need to drop them or exclude them and they will come back the following year more desperate

I would hate to be the bloke Jayden Hunt is playing on this week. Hunt has his chance and he won't let it slip.

Must have been someone big who stepped on his foot. Sorry Jj

Your logic is just ok but in reality is heartbreaking and annoying for all concerned.
It also is more cruel when In our position players at least have the VFL To continue playing for a Flag.
While Melky and Hunty are playing their hearts out there are always others that are unlucky with or without injuries which we don't need as casual as your  matter of fact type scenario.
No player deserves injuries for any reason to miss out on once in lifetime events.

I get what you are saying and what I wrote wasn't an exact science.

I just hope the players picked play their role.

I don't wish injury on anyone, even Collingwood.

On first thoughts, this is a massive blow as he was so important to our structure playing the non Langdon wing and was often used as an option to pass to coming out of half back.

Having said that, he can’t be that critical in the eyes of the coaches given he was dropped for round 23.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
