Hey fitness guy, it will be 10 degrees cooler tomorrow! Why risk the players' health? Lever's collapse comes as no surprise. We are coming out of winter and spring. No one is yet accustomed to today's conditions. And there will be very few days like this between March and September next year. Really annoyed about this lack of flexibility and common sense. Unless it was torn off the bone requiring surgery it should've healed itself helped along with some rehab/physio I assume 1 Quote

Obviously you want the heat training to be controlled, but it has been proven in sports science that this type of training can be extremely beneficial to fitness and performance. 6 Quote

Roger Mellie 4,205 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Need a little help with putting names to faces. The players 8 photos from the bottom are: Deakin Smith (left) , AMW and Blake Howes (right)? Cheers! 1 Quote

If it was "not that hot", Jake Lever must be a bit weak or badly out of shape to collapse after his runs. And you can be sure that no player was treating the time trials as "fun runs". There's a bit of nervous energy about the (1km) time trials." 2 Quote
Deepfreeze 227 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 (edited) Whats with those man bras? Is there something scientific in why they wear them? Or is it for scratch match training skins v jumpers? <edit> Clearly not that - looks like Pink v Blue Edited December 6, 2021 by Deepfreeze seemed like a good idea at the time Quote

Most have been too warm to have them and shirts/jumpers (plus what in-shape footy player doesn't like getting the rig out?) 1 Quote

durango 2,024 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Lever may have had a drop in blood pressure which can cause a bit of disorientation or passing out. 2 Quote

Demonland 74,430 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 I run almost every day between 6 and 10km. The first hot day of this summer season I almost passed out and it was only 24 or 25 degrees. Not quite passed out but I struggled. I have since got used to it. 1 1 1 Quote
