Three guys in a house together didn't seem to work very well

Only a premiership and being trained by the Brayshaws  beforehand and no public trouble at the house  betw Toby Kossie and Jacko.

You are blaming or alluding to  the house mix as the potential culprit for Jacko wanting to go back home!!

Jacko seriously is the type of guy that missed his family and his mates. This mix will be interesting and also whether he stays at his house in the suburbs with mates or alone!!

Are you saying that Toby Jacko and Kossie in the same house was a major issue? As in mates? Or whst ? Are you agreeing with Willmoy?

Orhis WA mates bring  missed in Vic?

Mockingly (probably unintentionally because I doubt he thought about how it would look) in a Dockers jumper.

Could have posted any number of photos of him with the Premiership cup when he thanked the club with his one line.

I thank him for his time but do not wish him well. He is now the enemy and whilst I will not boo him I do hope he gets roughed up a bit and that he earns every dollar he gets.

Exactly. He should 1000% have posted a more thoughtful farewell message to the Dees, his teammates, coaches and just a importantly the fans. And he should have done that by proudly posting a photo of himself as a Demon and not in Dockers guernsey.

Have a look at Lochie Hunter's farewell message in his thread and take a look at Jackson's. Which is the more classy/thankful/appreciative one. Or take a look at Weids farewell. He didn't even get to play in a flag and was effusive in his thanks to the club.

Jackson took the money and ran. I'll always be thankful for those few minutes in the third but in the end he didn't look after us at all. He wanted to go home and that's fine but he wouldn't even engage with the club that could have given us (cliub, teammates and fans) something in return. I don't wish his career well.

People comparing Jackson goodbye message who lets remember only spent 3 years at the footy club compared to Hunter (10 years at the doggies) and Weideman (7 years at the Dees)

I think people can work out where I'm going with this.

I'm  thinking more of a lack of example, which would have crossed the table of the Club players minders, ie the ex Freo/ Richmond player, albeit too late of course.

It'll be interesting in how Fremantle decide to use Jackson next year and how the media will judge his performances considering he probably doesn't have the tank to ruck or play as a wingman/midfielder for a full match yet.

He certainly still has a lot of work to do to if they plan to play him forward for a percentage of a game. There are some good goals here but easily a third of them are from the goal square courtesy of an easy handpass.

I look forward to years of this thread being bumped every time Luke plays a poor game

If that's the case then this thread will be bumped heaps of times. He will play many poor games amongst the odd good one.

Ah yes but people will say a average game he plays is poor. and a good game average etc

I don’t get the continual  butt hurt, yes he left, players do, we had some come to us that way and we have lost some that way.
The “goodbye” message is laughable, yes it was short but so was his excited to be at Freo part. Not all want to write a bloody essay.

Well said. He’s 21, and not the brightest bulb in Aisle 39 at Bunnings.

Leave him be; we’re more than fine without him.

If he had posted a long farewell message posters would have complained that it was insincere

Doubtless true,  and those posters may have been wrong.  But being wrong about the sincerity of his message is not even a possibilty if he didn't make the appropriate farewell message in the first place.

True but the people complaining about his lack of a farewell are the same people who are resentful towards him anyways. They’ll never be happy

People get caught up in this stuff. End of the day he voted with his feet and has gone back to play for his home town team. I don’t need to hear his platitudes about how much he loves the MFC, how brilliant we are, how heart wrenching the decision was. It’s just word salad to placate a section of our fanbase who can’t be pleased anyways.

I’ve moved on. I suggest everyone else does as well

HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
