Lots of players are waiting for the new EBA before signing.  Not exactly groundbreaking

Ah ok thanks l thought it was end of this year 👍

Watching SBS food and I would take 62 year old Nigella Lawson in a heart beat over Jackson.

Sorry…. Thought I’d offer something worthwhile.

Oliver will sign a 7 year extension 🔒

Farcken hope so. Would be the best signing of all and I rate LJ and Brayshaw but Oliver is on another level

This report of Brayshaw and Jackson, suggests Jackson will sign until his FA year ie an additional 5 years until end of 2027. luke-jackson-offers-western-australian-clubs

"And while the Demons are believed to be confident both players are close to signing extensions — in Jackson’s case, until his free agency year — Browne reports the pair remain happy to wait it out".

Not sure where all the doubt comes from and the talk of big offers doesn't seem relevant.  Click bait, I suppose.

Woo Hoo!  Jackson for another 5 years!!

100%. Just like Petracca.

They are besties and look after each other on the ground. I could not see them parting.

Ralphy has been reporting on his various platforms tonight that Jackson isn’t committed either way at this moment, but is close to his family in WA and the Eagles are preparing to make a swoop. The longer it drags on the less likely he is to stay IMO. But West Coast will probably have pick 1 or 2 this year, so we’ll be well compensated if that actually happens.

Dogga would be in the wrong if he takes an offer from WC. Freo makes more sense.

Eagles will need a lot more that just 1 first round pick for Jackson. We'll take their future first as well and some extra change.

It needs to be two top five picks and decent young player (if they have any).

I’d hate to lose him. we should do everything  we can to convince him to stay

but if he wants to return for family reasons then so be it. Drive a hard bargain with west coast, get some top picks and let JT go to work in the draft

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
