What a load of waffle

Waffle, ill-informed comment, stereotyping, venomous accusations, misleading statements, bull-baiting and hysterical fictionalism is the glue that binds 'Land together.

Mmmmmmmmmm waffles!

Thanks Dazzle. That's exactly the kind of injection this thread needed.

Kind of strange reporting from Tom Browne - he says that Alan Richardson is confident of a deal being reached soon, but then seems to imply that he knows more information and that Richo and the club have got that wrong. Surely the club would be well aware of where the talks currently stand?

If Jackson did sign through to free agency like he said, then it would be a 5 year deal and a fantastic result.

I want Jackson and Oliver for life! Tracc is signed for a long time! Anyone else is next level down, so not as much concerned.

They may be next level down now Picket, but perhaps not in 2-5 years.

Not applicable to Jacko but Trac and Clarry are hitting their straps after a few years in the system. We have a number of kids that have heaps of talent and could be great players in a few years.

Concern yourself with the present but always with an eye to the future.

hahaha  this thread just rockets along and becomes a huge echo chamber

i keep getting sucked in every time i see a new post has been entered

Clarry hit his straps with his first game at the club & has been a star ever since

3 time b&f,  2021Coaches player of the year etc etc & he’s only 24

Get him signed for the next 6 years

Yeah... I have heard that it will be 2 years but I also heard a conflicting version that it will be longer.... possibly 4 years.

Not sure what to believe.

I'd like to believe 4, so 4 it is. Thank you mate. 🤣

Would be quite happy to offer Clarry 7-8 years to take him to 32 or so.

....and the reason it will be mid-year because that is when the new AFLPA bargaining agreement is expected to be signed.  At the moment Clubs and players don't know how much money is in the pot.

It has to be signed sometime between June and end of October.  Once it is then the pie can be divvied up.

It could also be from the club's end. It's best to wait for all parties, then we know how much to pay you.

Not if the price keeps going up

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
