Here it is. Look at his eyes 😤

Although Kaysiah didnt impact the score last night , that was one of pressure acts (pushing the doggies player ) that led to goals

How’s the head going Demonlanders?
Every bit of vision you watch over the coming days will most likely cause you to shed some tears. It’s probably been mentioned but seeing Kozzie trying to hand his medal to Neville Jetta on the boundary celebration got to me big time.

The media focus has been on Jones but Gee Nev has been a true leader at the club.

I sent Nev a message Saturday around lunchtime thanking him for getting us to this position and all the joy he's given us watching him play with so much courage and skill through those dark years.

He sent me back a message at 2.30 in the morning saying "I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did"

It was a wonderful gesture by Kysiah to try and give home his medal.

So good to see the whole squad involved throughout the whole final series. The way past players, families and supporters have been acknowledged along the way

What a wonderful inclusive club we have.

After 6 decades of humiliation, we have finally rediscovered the secret to being a power club. The Demons are about to explode I suspect.

At least we will soon discover if all of the stories about our latent support are true.

If you don't join up now you never will.

So, what the hell do I wish for when I blow out all of those candles on the birthday cake this year?

been making the same wish for more years than I can remember and the cake angles finally answered.

I know I could make the same wish but I may need to make the wish to another entity.

thank you Birthday Cake angles.

Couldnt agree more.

Saw Goody with Nev on the replay this afternoon and it hit me how much work he had put in when we weren't at the top. Those guys are culture builders. Gave everything, always.

Time to replay my post of now more than half a dozen pages ago:

I'm sure all you Postgame posters are still reading, or will be soon with a couple of hours sleep under your belts, so BIG HUGS of thanks and shared joy to all of you!

To which I must add, my thanks to everyone who thanked all the people and groups, in places and functions far and wide, that needed to be acknowledged and thanked. I feel they did so on my behalf as well as theirs.

I highly recommend watching the replay over the live recording. Ad free. Check out the look in Petracca's eyes after he kicks that dribbler near the end of the third. He looks like he could run through a brick wall and rip the head off a buffalo. Channel 7 cuts to an ad and you completely miss it

Great call. He had the absolute eye of the tiger at that point, and knew he would be the one to win us the match.

What a legendary performance.

After thinking we were a goal away from defeat last night the way at which we dismantled a serious quality side through sheer will and aggression in 19 minutes had me speechless until this morning. The back half of the third quarter was the most beautifully chaotic football anyone could hope to witness in any game, let alone in the premiership quarter for the actual premiership. Could not be prouder of the way we have built to this moment this season. Not just in the way we have played but the way the whole club has carried themselves on and off the field. No more words. Just so proud.

Just an observation but every interview that I have seen with Christian Petracca he has had the Norm Smith tucked away. Only the Premiership medal on display. Wants it to be about the team not about him. Thats my take on it and I like it.

Was lucky enough to be at the cup presentation in Perth this morning with Garry Lyon introducing each player. First thing he said when about Trac was mentioning he'd immediately removed his Norm Smith medal because the win was a group achievement.

Gus' speaking to Lyon in the rooms afterwards is just brilliant.

The passion and love of the jumper and the club is real.

The sincerity of these guys surprised me.

will admit to slightly watery eyes watching that.

Gawny at the Market Grounds still wearing his fill kit, including boots whilst drinking and partying is one of the best things I’ve ever seen.

Interestingly, interview with Lyon on Fox...

Steven May said he did have scans and physios didn't share results, was worse than let on. I suspected we were keeping up appearances

Also, Stef Martin was clearly worst on ground in the Dogs prelim win, and the centre bounce was where we turned the game in the 3rd. A lot of people pointed out he was underdone.

That may be underrating Luke Jackson’s amazing contribution in that turnaround period.  His centre ruck work was absolutely awesome and his second efforts just unprecedented.
Sign him up now for the next decade.

Gus was fantastic tonight.

Very proud of a player who has now become a new favorite

❤️ 💙 and soul player super impressive performance particularly when the bullies were running rampant. Absolute clutch mark, kick and goal in the team’s brilliant 3rd quarter revival. Plus being a top bloke. Always been a stayer IMM.

I could only watch the first 5 minutes; I checked the half time score, noted we'd stuffed up by kicking so many points and went to Demonland to catch some observations. I noted that yours was full of optimism. Dunno if you was takin the pee, but when I watched the replay today, I also felt that at half time the lads had stemmed the flow and were on the way back. Your prediction was spot on: kudos.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
